Vanessa Hudgens - Universal Studios Hollywood Hosts The Opening Of "The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter" at Universal Studios Hollywood - Universal City, California, United States - Tuesday 5th April 2016

The actress has apparently broken a national law.
Apparently, just because you're famous doesn't mean that vandalism is okay, no matter how tasteful the graffiti. Consequently, Vanessa Hudgens has found herself under investigation after apparently defacing the precious red sandstone of Sedona rock in Arizona with a Valentine's Day message.
Vanessa Hudgens could be in deep trouble
27-year-old Hudgens posted a photo on Instagram of a jagged heart with 'Austin + Vanessa' inside it etched on the rock surface on Monday (February 15t 2016). Not exactly ambigious, though it's very likely that the she and her boyfriend Austin Butler didn't they were doing anything wrong. Allegedly, it's actually against federal law to cause damage to a protected natural phenomenon such as this, and they are now being investigated because of it according to a public affairs officer for Coconino National Forest.

Hudgens played Rizzo in the TV special, which aired live on Fox on Sunday night.
Vanessa Hudgens took part in Fox’s special ‘Grease Live’ event on Sunday evening, just hours after announcing her father’s death. Hudgens played Rizzo in the special, the role made famous by Stockard Channing in the original film, alongside Julianne Hough as Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny Zuko.
Vanessa Hudgens starred as Rizzo in ‘Grease Live’.
Just hours before the broadcast Hudgens announced on twitter that her beloved father Greg had lost his battle with cancer. "I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers," Hudgens wrote.
The Disney Channel will air a special cast reunion to mark a decade since the film first aired.
Can you believe it’s been ten years since we were first introduced to High School Musical? No we can’t either. But to mark a decade since the movie’s Disney Channel premiere, members of the cast have reunited for a special sit-down celebrating all things HSM which will air on Wednesday (January 20th).
Vanessa Hudgens is among the HSM cast members reuniting for the film’s 10th anniversary.
Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman have all taken part, with the reunion being filmed at a high school gym in suburban Los Angeles. But one essential cast member was missing, Zac Efron, who played Troy Bolton.

The 25 year-old actress wanted to share her affection for her acting boyfriend on his 23rd birthday.
Vanessa Hudges is definitely over her ex-love, and 'High School Musical' co-star, Zac Efron as she seems to be head over heels for her acting boyfriend Austin Butler, and to celebrate his 23rd birthday, the actress branded him the "love of my life."
Hudgens is definitely in love with Butler
The 25 year-old beauty shared a heartfelt message, via Tumblr, addressed to Butler alongside a photograph of the pair posing in black sunglasses. "Yesterday was the love of my life's birthday.
With the cult novelist on board, the project will shop for backers at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
When the end credits rolled on Spring Breakers last year, it didn’t seem like sequel material – all in all, things were pretty neatly tied up at the end of the original. Don’t worry, this article is completely spoiler-free. According to Vincent Marabal, speaking for French production company Wild Bunch, Spring Breakers: The Second Coming (a working title) will not be a direct sequel, but it will reference some of the original characters. The French powerhouse studio will be pitching the project at Cannes this year, according to MTV.
Apparently Spring Breakers caused enough of a stir to warrant a sequel.
Because director Harmony Korine is not on board this year (neither are any of the original, the studio has attached Swedish filmmaker Jonas Akerlund – the mind behind Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi and Telephone videos. So if nothing else, we can expect some continuity in the neon colour scheme. Akerlund will direct from a script by Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting, Filth) meaning the tone might get heavier, if anything. The plot summary, per Wild Bunch, proclaims: “the Spring Breakers doing battle with an extreme militant Christian sect that attempts to convert them.”

We've spent the whole day looking at who was best dressed at the Oscars, but whose style stole the Elton John Oscars after-party?
The Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Award Party is one of the hottest tickets in showbiz. Started in 1993, the annual party is hosted by superstar musician Elton John and held on the same evening as the Oscars show. Tickets are offered by invitation only and cost upward of $3,500 a pop (bargain!). That’s why you’d expect attendees to be looking their absolute flyest, none of these attendees would dare to do a Jimmy Kimmel and show up in a pair of jeans.
Twilight hunk, sorry, actor Kellan Lutz looked fresh in a simple tux with dark blue detailing. His patent dress shoes were gleaming and Kellan was looking every inch the heart throb. We love a man in a dapper suit!

The actor is believed to have battled a cocaine addiction.
Actor Zac Efron has reportedly completed a rehab stint to tackle cocaine addiction five months ago, it has emerged. The 25 year-old High School Musical actor is said to have checked into rehab after what was purported to be an alcohol problem, until the news he was struggling with a cocaine problem began to spread, according to TMZ.
Zac Efron Sought Help For His Cocaine Addiction.
Zac's drug problem spiralled out of control when he began to be absent from days of filming Seth Rogen's Neighbors, shot in April. A film source speaking to TMZ said "It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine."
The 'High School Musical' star spoke with Marie Claire recently to talk about how she stays grounded despite the pressure of fame at a young age
Vanessa Hudgens is one of those people you would expect to see taking up inches in the daily gossip columns everyday, yet the former Disney starlet rarely ever shows up in the tabloids or on the other end of the paparazzi's glare. The 24-year-old revealed in a recent interview with Marie Claire that she does this through choice, as she has consciously continued to stay grounded throughout her young career as an actress and avoid any unnecessary attention.
Vanessa recently starred in the Nic Cage-starring Frozen Ground
The actress told the magazine that, as a "spiritual" person, she tries her best to steer clear of any negative influences and bad elements that could so easily consume her life, like the paparazzi. The star went on to refute the claims that she has experimented with drugs and give praise to her ever-supportive family, who she singles out as being the sole reason behind her attention-shy personality and for helping her achieve her success.
James Franco puts himself forward for 'Best Supporting Actor' at the next Academy Awards.
There have been plenty of creative tactics played by movies launching Oscar campaigns to sway voters, including persuasive attempts by The Fighter and The Kings Speech, but one actor has decided to make his bid as blunt as possible to get attention.
James Franco As 'Alien' In Spring Breakers
James Franco is being supported by the distributor of his movie Spring Breakers, A24 Films, to win a 'Best Supporting Actor' nomination for his corn-rowed, golden-grilled character of Alien. A24 has compiled campaign materials, that will apparently be unveiled shortly, that feature Franco as his rapper/gangster character, according to sources speaking to THR. Franco as Alien is shown holding an Oscar statuette in each hand with the slogan "CONSIDER THIS SH*T", referencing his character's boastful speech about all the amazing things he owns, or "cool sh*t."

Vanessa Hudgens, Paul Levesque, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon - WWE & E! Entertainment's SuperStars For Hope Event at The Beverly Hills Hotel - Los Angeles, California, United States - Thursday 15th August 2013
The actress took some downtime in Italy.
During the promotional rounds for her new film, The Frozen Ground, Vanessa Hudgens is certainly working hard, but what use is working, if you can’t then kick off your nude wedges and party on the beach, preferably in Italy. The actress in currently on the island of Ischia, gearing up to promote The Frozen Ground at the local film festival.
Hudgens' style is steadily becoming more mature these days.
Before that though, the young actress, who is in the midst of her transition from child star to serious name in Hollywood, donned a gorgeous white ensemble and partied the night away on the beach in Ischhia. The Daily Mail shared pictures of the actress, baring her midriff in a beautiful white crop top and pencil skirt combo, clearly enjoying a glass of wine and dancing with friends. Among the group were Eli Roth and Lucila Sola, who showed off her stunning figure in a curve hugging cream lace dress.
Vanessa Hudgens is moving on in a big way.
Vanessa Hudgens is all grown up, there’s no question about it. After starring in the sexed-up Harmony Corine drama Spring Breakers earlier this year, the 24-year-old actress is now doing press rounds for her upcoming film with Nicolas Cage, The Frozen Ground. Though it’s not a big step up from Spring Breakers, the movie does see Hudgens take on the role of a prostitute – something that the star says she’s wanted to do ever since she was twelve, apparently.
"I always wanted to play a really heavy role. I remember being like 12 I think and being like 'I want to play a prostitute and do drugs' Vanessa said at a Q&A in London last night, according to List. That’s an unusual ambition for any 12-year-old, but Vanessa has apparently made it work. So far, the actress has expertly avoided the pitfalls of the celebrity downward spiral (for the most part) and is one of Hollywood’s most famous young hopefuls.
The ladies bonded and caught some waves in Bali this week.
It’s officially summer and Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Greene are making full use of it at a surfer event in Bali (where else?) The young actresses teamed up for a girls’ getaway at the Oakley Pro Bali/Learn To Surf event in Indonesia. The ladies did everything that a good vacation should include – they soaked up the sun, tanning on a yacht at sea, went swimming in the stunningly clear water off shore, attended a party or two and even clocked in some surfing time.
Well, surfing is probably too strong of a word, since both the Spring Breaker and the Twilight Star are apparently novices at the sport, but, judging from the pictures, released by the Daily Mail, they’re showing some natural aptitude. In the pictures both ladies are seen standing up on their surfboards and even catching some waves (ok, they’re fairly tiny waves, but still). They seem overjoyed with the experience, with Greene raising her hands into the air while surfing and Hudgens sticking her tongue out at the camera at one point.
Then the girls reportedly attended an evening party for the event and, of course, they went with the appropriate boho attire, with Ashley tucking flowers into her hair and Vanessa donning a Bohemian-looking paisley frock. All in all, it looks like Greene did a good job at summarising the trip in her tweet from Wednesday: “Life. Is. Good.”
Vanessa Hudgens Reveals That Nude Photo Leak Was A Low-Point For Her Career
In an interview with Paper magazine, the former Disney actress revealed that when nude photos of her were leaked on line back in 2007, it was “by far the worst moment of my career.” Hudgens, now 24, has been able to put the humiliating episode behind her, though at the time it can’t have been easy to be one of Disney’s most popular young protégées, only to have the facade of the standard stereotypical squeaky–clean child star image well and truly scraped away.
Talking about the photographs, which were leaked online, Hudgens comments “That was just a really shitty situation that sucked. That was by far the worst moment of my career.” Five years on, though and Hudgens has managed to escape any embarrassment that the incident caused and is currently celebrating the launch of her new role in Harmony Korine’s controversial new movie Spring Breakers. Hudgens stars alongside Selena Gomez – another young actress known primarily for her clean-cut image. It’s a leap that, according to Paper magazine, should see her heading “into legitimate adult acting territory,” suggesting that the nude photo debacle may in fact have been a blessing in disguise, perhaps facilitating her transition to more serious adult roles.
Korine is known as something of a hard-hitting movie-maker. His movies are never for the faint-hearted and judging by the amount of bare flesh on display in Spring Breakers, this will be no exception. Spring Breakers is scheduled for release on March 15, 2013.
The Oscar race was thrown into a spin last weekend by two guilds, professional groups that make movies and vote for the Academy Awards. First, the Producers Guild of America (PGA) gave its Best Picture award to Ben Affleck's Argo, a surprise because Affleck isn't even nominated for a directing Oscar. Then the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) named Argo for Best Ensemble, which is considered their Best Picture prize. Films only rarely win the Best Picture Oscar if their director isn't nominated. But Affleck is nominated for a Directors Guild of America (DGA) award on Saturday, which will no doubt further muddy the waters leading to Bafta night February 10th and the Oscars two weeks later.
Meanwhile, Oscar contenders dominate the box office, with Les Miserables, Django Unchained and Zero Dark Thirty in the Top 10 both in America and Britain. In addition, Life of Pi and Lincoln are in the UK chart, while Silver Linings Playbook is holding firm in the US. These are the most money-making Best Picture nominees in years.
James Franco playing a drug and arms dealer? Selena Gomez doing his dirty work? Gucci Mane parading around like he owns the joint?! Spring Breakers is shaping up to be wackiest movie of the year. Sure, on paper it's got Razzies written all over it, though we're predicting Harmony Korine's (Gummo) new film will be one of the most talked about flicks of 2013.
The film stars Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine as four college girls who are stuck on campus while their fellow students party on the coast for Spring Break. Of course the only thing to do in that situation is rob a restaurant in order to fund their vacation, right? Of course, that's exactly what they do. The trailer sees the girls heading for the ocean in high spirits, but wait! What's that we hear? Police sirens!

It’s the fall of the teen queens – of sorts, anyway. In the brand new film Spring Breakers, due to be released this March, squeaky clean images will be shed as Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez and Ashley Benson take on the roles of confused, broke, but hell-bent on partying co-eds.
As the trailer shows, the girls are so set on going on their indulgent road trip, that they rob a store, and when they get arrested for, ahem, less-than-legal party activities, they get out thanks to the help of a gangster/rapper (played by James Franco, of all people). And they do it all, dressed only in bikinis – spring break style. As you can tell from that dizzying synopsis, one thing this isn’t, is realistic. But even with its slightly obnoxious colour scheme, convoluted plotlines and questionable acting, director Harmoni Korine’s Spring Breakers will surely be unmissable when it is released this spring, if for the setting alone. After all, who wouldn’t enjoy watching beautiful, half naked people strolling around sunny Florida for an hour and a half? Who needs a believable plot anyway? Sign us up! What do you think of this effort to shed the Disney stigma along with the clothes (yes we know Hudgens lost her clothes much earlier than this)?
Watch the trailer for Spring Breakers Below.
Sean Anderson has moved back in with his mother, after embarking on the adventure of a lifetime with his uncle, in which they discovered a lost world at the centre of the earth. Now, his mum has a new boyfriend, called Hank.
After Sean's grandfather goes missing, Sean tries to track him down but to no avail. The teen suspects that his grandfather is on the hunt again for a mysterious island and a few days later, his suspicions are confirmed when he gets a strange fax that repeats the same words over and over, as well as strange radio signals. Wishing to uncover the truth Sean shares these findings with his uncle who dismisses them as the work of a lunatic but Sean is adamant that it is his grandfather, who has finally found the island after years of searching.
Sean decides to go after his grandfather and persuades Hank to join him, which he does with great reluctance. After looking up the coordinates of the island, they travel to a nearby port, where they persuade a local man and his pretty daughter to fly them to the island. Despite their protests that there is no island, they agree to help Sean and Hank.
Tragedy soon strikes when Sean, Hank and the pretty girl Kailani are stuck on the mysterious island, which is filled with all sorts of exotic and dangerous animals. And there appears to be no way off...
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is the sequel to the 2008 film, Journey To The Center Of The Earth, which starred Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson, who reprises his role in this film.
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman, Michael Caine, Kristin Davis and Michael Beasley

They fantasise that they're on dangerous missions led by a mysterious man (Glenn), gathering the items they need to break out.

And it's just bright and sunny enough to work. Will (Connell) is a nerdy music obsessive who is thrilled when his mother (Kudrow) announces that they're moving from Cincinnati to New Jersey. He plans to reinvent himself at his new high school, and quickly gets caught up in the upcoming BandSlam competition, helping hot girl Charlotte (Michalka) turn her talented but scruffy bandmates (Saxton and Jo) into a first-rate band with the addition of a few more members (including Donowho, Yost and Chung). Meanwhile, Will is falling for his moody study partner Sa5m (Hudgens). The 5 is silent. The formula dictates the plot, as we know things will fall apart before they come together in the end. And where this film surprises us is in the way it approaches teen life with a blast of intelligence. The characters are recognisably complex, with some pretty serious issues in their lives and relationships that feel relatively organic and real. And the conflicts feel vaguely authentic as well, even though we know the smiles will be back before too long.
These teens are all overachievers with a lot of talent, and it's clear that the same can be said about the cast, although the rampant overacting may grate on older audience members. It's mainly Michalka's show; Charlotte is by far the most interesting, magnetic character. But everyone else gets a chance to cut loose as well, including Porter as Charlotte's cool-kid ex. Meanwhile, Kudrow adds class, and some fine comic timing, to the whole thing.Of course, this is a Disneyfied fantasy version of high school, where everyone is virginal and straight, and even the geeks are cute. And this blanding-down makes the whole thing feel less like a proper film than a pilot for a TV series that combines harmless adolescence with an introduction to rock history. But the music is terrific, and director-cowriter Graff resists the temptation to indulge in the usual hackneyed moralising. He also stirs in some terrific moments along the way that subvert the genre just a little bit.
The central dilemma comes when Sharpay -- whose family turns out to be so rich (dad lands in a helicopter for his tee time) that one wonders why she is slumming it at public school -- attempts to steal Troy (Zac Efron) away from Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens) by pulling strings to elevate him from the kitchen and the caddy locker room to a salaried position, complete with "Italian shoes." Not only does this successfully alienate him from Gabriella, but his b-ball friends start to hate him too. Will Troy hang with the riches or realize that friendship is more important than his future?

After winning the state basketball championship, East High senior Troy (Zac Efron) realizes that, in a few short months, he'll be separated from his sweetheart Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens). Meanwhile, Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) threatens to stage a one woman show for the upcoming spring musical, so composer Kelsi (Olesya Rulin) gets most of the class to join up. Drama teacher Ms. Darbus (Alyson Reed) also has some amazing news -- Troy, Kelsi, Sharpay, and Ryan (Lucas Grabeel) are all being evaluated for a scholarship to Julliard. Then Gabriella gets an offer to go to college early, which further threatens the lovebirds' relationship. Troy's dad balks at the thought of him giving up sports for performing. Naturally, all will be revealed and resolved during the big, brassy production at the end.

The reason why I can't recommend Thunderbirds is common in mediocre kids' fare: It offers nothing for the adults playing chaperone, who will be flat-out bored. Frakes and his screenwriters make no attempt to entertain anyone over the age of 13, unless you find stuttering and bad teeth uproarious. If ever there was a movie meant for DVD, this is it. Mom can pay the bills or read a book in the living room, as the kids argue over how cool it would be to ride one of the Thunderbirds.
