Usher claims getting married is the ''best mistake'' he has ever made.

The 'Good Kisser' hitmaker, who has two sons, Usher Jr., six, and Naviyd, five, with ex-wife Tameka Foster, insists he has no regrets about tying the knot with her in 2007 even though they divorced two years later.

Asked about his best mistake, the 35-year-old star told the September issue of O magazine: ''Getting married at 28.''

He added: ''Most people probably think I regret it because I ended up getting divorced, but it helped me learn that sometimes I think I know more than I actually do.''

The 'Voice' USA mentor secured primary custody of his children in 2012 after a bitter court battle with former celebrity stylist Tameka.

The 'More' hitmaker previously said his sons are his ''most prized possession.''

Earlier this year, he said: ''They are my greatest investment, my most prized possession, it's everything.''

Tameka, 43, previously confessed she ''nagged'' Usher a lot during their marriage because she struggled to cope with the pressure of being in a high profile relationship.

Explaining the reasons for their split, she said: ''Pressures from the public, you know. But then I did dumb stuff. I made a lot of mistakes. He always told me, 'You gotta drink a lot of milk.' You know, you gotta toughen up because I wasn't ready for the scrutiny. And then to just hear the things people would say about me, it hurt me a lot. And I think I nagged him as a result of what I was going through.''
