Veteran actress Ursula Andress hated the infamous white bikini she wore in
1962's DR NO - despite being voted most sexy actress in numerous polls for her
iconic swimwear scene.
Andress believes the raunchy outfit helped her portray an athletic and
strong image of a woman, which was lacking in movies of that period, but she
was surprised her revealing costume turned her into a sex symbol.
She explains, "I never thought I looked sexy in that white bikini. What I
did, I think, is to show a new way women could be.
"It was a sporty and aggressive image, which was different from the way
films depicted us at the time."
