13 months after he replaced George Shelley, Union J's management have decided that Casey Johnson wasn't "right for the band".
British boyband Union J have dropped Casey Johnson from the group, just over a year after he was drafted in to replace former member George Shelley.
Union J, who were formed on the 2011 edition of ‘The X Factor’, had recruited Johnson back in March last year from another ‘X Factor’ graduate band, Stereo Kicks. However, thirteen months later, the group’s management has decided that Johnson isn’t “right for the band” and he and they have parted ways this week.

Union J reportedly informed Shelley via e-mail that he was out of the band, and they'll be replacing him in the next few weeks.
British boyband Union J have kicked George Shelley out of the group via e-mail, with the remaining three members citing his lack of commitment since appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’ as the reason.
Shelley, however, has retaliated against his former colleagues, saying that they’ve ejected him because of jealousy at his raised public profile after finishing as runner-up in the ITV reality show in December last year. A spokesperson for the 22 year old said they were “jealous he has achieved the start of an exciting new career and they have not.”

Union J member George Shelley has opened up about his sexuality in a new video uploaded to his Youtube channel. In the one-and-a-half minute clip the 22-year-old addressed rumours about his sexuality, saying that he has dated men and women in the past.
George Shelley has addressed his sexuality in a Youtube video.
"I want to start 2016 with a clean slate. I don't feel that I should hide anything,” Shelley began. "I went into the jungle and it gave me a lot of time to reflect on what is important to me. And what is important to me is that I should be myself."

With Lindsay Lohan reportedly penning a life story, there a more than a few celebrity autobiographies that we'd rather weren't out there
It has been recently reported that child-actress turned troubled adult, Lindsay Lohan, is thinking about putting pen to paper and revealing all about her 28-years thus far. While wild parties, speeding tickets, alcohol-related offences and time spent in prison are all relatively interesting if written in an amusing way, it's hard to imagine this autobiography will be anything but an extended version of the numerous articles already published about her struggles with fame.
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly set to release a tell-all biography
She is, of course, not the only celebrity that has tried their hand at autobiographies as a way of boosting public interest in a somewhat failing fan base. Here are some celebrity books that we’re not sure we want to read.

The 'X Factor' judge says his latest pop creation will consist of "all new kids"
Louis Walsh will launch his latest pop creation in 2014, with the Irish music mogul announcing his plans to oversee the launch of a new boyband in the new year. Speaking with The Mirror, the x factor judge said that he will be launching a band consisting entirely of new faces, having auditioned thousands of potential stars in the process.
Walsh will hope that his new boyband will be more successful than Union J
"I'm doing a brand new boy band that will be ready to go next year," Walsh told the paper. He continued, "They're going to rehearse for the month of January, see the record companies in February and take it from there. No familiar faces, all new kids that have never been on a talent show or anything. I auditioned a thousand!"

Josh Cuthbert, member of British boy-band Union J, spent an interview discussing his sex-life and past relationships.
Union J singer Josh Cuthbert has admitted that he once had sex "on a tree". In a recent interview, the 22-year-old boasted of his sexual encounters, admitting that he enjoys sexual interactions outdoors and in unusual places. When quizzed as to the strangest place he had had sex, Cuthbert responded with: ''In a car. No, on a tree.''
The Union J member also revealed that he once ended a relationship with a girlfriend when he discovered that he was more attracted to her mother. He gave the news rather matter-of-factly, stating: ''I once started fancying my ex-girlfriend's mum more than her.'' But it's not all fun and games for the 'Beautiful Life' singer, as he claims that he is usually the "dumpee".

The big prize you get for winning The X Factor has always been an enormous record deal, plus the exposure and immediate fan base created by the show which is meant to ensure instant success. However, as the series have gone on, missing out on being the top of the pile doesn't mean you miss out on the rest of the fun, this year has proven it more than ever as runner up Jahmene Douglas has signed a deal with Sony, and both Union J and Ella Henderson have also been snapped up by the same company, and neither of them even made it to the final week.
Twitter is still the dominant platform for celebs to express their emotions and there's no change for these artists. Jahmene said:
The X-Factor has been a bit of a joke this yeah, hasn't it? Rylan Clark, with his monstrous lack of talent and baffling level of ignorance managed to go far; too far, while Christopher Maloney has managed to still be in the running despite having little to no potential to sell records. He's got his Gran to have a go at people like us.
"Those comments, they might as well say them to me - they're cutting me in two even worse," she explained, according to The Sun. "It's a tactic, I think. It's one way of swaying the votes. It's like bullying. Nobody else on the show gets those comments." She added: "I'm behind Christopher all the way but it's killing me doing it." Granny Pat got pretty annoyed last week when Christopher gave a good performance but still came in for criticism. She said: "I could cry sometimes. Even when they do say he has sung well they criticise something else, like the dancers behind them last week. He didn't pick the dancers." Poor nan, we know how she feels, but the truth is, even though Maloney is trying his hardest; he's easily the least talented act left in the competition, and that's only because Rylan's gone.
