Uma Thurman is fighting to land the part of the next Bond girl, despite growing up thinking the characters in the 007 movies were anti-women.

The Kill Bill actress has never been approached to play a Bond babe, but she'd love to team up with Pierce Brosnan, or whoever his successor is.

She says, "When I was growing up they always said Bond girls were anti-feminist and that was not a good thing to be.

"But I thought that Bond girls were the toughest, sexiest, most fun, and, to me, they were like completely awesome. I thought, 'Bond girls are bad.'"
