Uma Thurman is refusing to read press stories about herself because reporters' prejudices have left her "paranoid". The KILL BILL star insists journalists who interview her have pre-conceived notions that are often impossible to dispel. Rather than trying to convey her real personality, Thurman has found it easier to simply avoid reading the finished article "because I get paranoid". She adds, "Sometimes you can tell a reporter has come in with an opinion already formed: They've Googled you, stolen six misquotes from eight pieces and know what they're going to say. "The piece is half-written before you've even begun! If you're not here to try and understand me, what's the point?"
