A painting of U2 rocker Bono receiving his knighthood is set to go up for auction in Dublin, Ireland. The oil canvas, by artist David Nolan, is based on a press image by photographer Julien Behal and depicts the 47-year-old singer holding the honour up to his face. Bono, real name Paul Hewson, was presented with the knighthood in March (07) in recognition of his contributions to music and his global charity work. The painting will go under the hammer at James Adam auctioneers next month (Oct07) and is expected to sell for more than $4,000 (GBP2,000/3000 euro).
