Tauron Nowa Muzyka today unveils the latest batch of artists with the return of the incredible Amon Tobin and his most original underground alias, Two Fingers with an exclusive Polish appearance this year. Charismatic and brilliant musician and producer Jamie Lidell will also perform his electronic, jazz, funk and soul influenced vocals; whilst TOSCA make their first Polish appearance presenting their latest LP and stage audio-visual show. Tauron Nowa Muzyka unveils the latest additions to its pioneering programme with the astounding Amon Tobin who returns to Tauron with his latest and most original alter-ego project, Two Fingers. Having started the project back in 2008 with the release of his first LP Two Fingers, it's this album which saw Amon experiment with grime and dubstep influenced sounds. Expect a monumental live show that combines tracks from Stunt Rhythms, older Two Fingers material and an incredible musical encounter for all.
Jamie Lidell returns to Poland with his incredible stage charisma and brilliant music ideas, the artist has become one of the most interesting and highly valued producers in electronic jazz and funk music. Bringing his latest album to the Tauron towers, the material combines his experimental routes from 'Multiplay' and catch tunes from 'Compass'. Lidell's minimal sounds of Berlin, mixed with funk music, soul and vocal flavours, together live on stage with other instruments and synths - making his live performances unmissable. Tosca are also today announced combining club rhythms, pop music sensitivity and their ongoing passion for experimenting with various music genres and styles. Working together for almost 20 years, this Austrian duo have become electronic music classics and Tauron are thrilled to welcome to Poland for the fist time ever.
Hailed as one of London's most exciting musicians, Daniel Woolhouse known as Deptford Goth presents a mixture of modern melancholic R&B, which bares resemblance to James Blake and Jamie Woon. After releasing his debut LP entitled 'Life After Defo', Woolhouse has received some great reviews worldwide and is a strong contender to be on the shortlist of Best LP's of 2013. Having never played in Poland, expect an incredible debut performance.
Captivating homegrown talent comes from Öszibarack whose experimental modern electronica and rock music has earned his place on the shortlist for Best Polish Album of the Year and promises to wow Tauron's festival revelers. Another TNM debut comes from Polish duo hidden behind the alias, UL/KR and are clearly one of the highlights of the new young generation of polish electronic scene. With the 2012 debut LP 'Ament' fast becoming the hit-album in Poland and enchanting everyone from music press critics to fellow musicians, their eclectic sounds will be a highlight at this year's festival.
Tauron Nowa Muzyka is arguably one of the best underground electronic music festival on the European festival circuit and has achieved recognition at the European Festival Awards having been voted the 'Best Small Festival' in 2012. Priding itself on programming a line-up that pushes boundaries to showcase those that innovate within the electronic music world to include special live performances, A/V shows, new collaborations, label showcases and DJ sets. Also joined by Venetian Snares, Squarepusher, JETS - a joint project by Jimmy Edgar and Travis Stewart plus a phenomenal 20th Anniversary showcase from the esteemed German label Kompakt records, consisting of a DJ set from DJ Koze, Sid le Rock and Coma, Mathias Aguayo and Spanish duo ZA! Also Zebra Katz and Njena Reddd Foxxx, Jon Hopkins, Holly Herndon, Mmoths, Darling Farah and Dawn Day Night.
