Two Door Cinema Club played their last gig for a ''very, very long time'' last night (13.12.13).
The indie rockers - made up of Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday - performed their final show for a while at London's The O2 and signed off in style with a smorgasbord of scintillating hits including latest single 'Changing of the Seasons' to a packed-out crowd.
Singer Alex, who was dressed in black jazzy sequin jacket, told the crowd: ''Thank you so much for coming here tonight, we are so grateful. This is our last show for a very, very long time. We are about to go off and make another record.''
The group wowed the 16,000 fans with renditions of some of their latest songs from second studio album 'Beacon', including 'Sun', 'Next Year' and 'Handshake', and the Northern Irish rockers also rolled back the years with performances of older hits, such as 'Something Good Can Work'.
Alex confirmed the show is the biggest headline gig the group have ever played, but the trio showed no signs of nerves as they powered through with energy aplenty that was summed up with their version of 2009 single 'I Can Talk', which sent the crowd into a fist-pumping frenzy.
The band even felt confident enough to experiment by bringing on singer/songwriter Valentina to sing their duet, 'The World is Watching', live for the first time.
