Rapper Twista has signed to record label EMI.
The hip-hop star left Atlantic Records in 2007 and launched his own label, Get Money Gang Entertainment, in 2008.
However, the Slow Jamz hitmaker has now secured a distribution deal with EMI that will see his forthcoming album Category F5 released in a joint venture with Get Money Gang, EMI and Capitol Records.
Twista says in a statement, "We are very pleased to be in busines with EMI and Capitol. I am excited about being independent again but having the resources of a major.
"The hustle never stops. Over the last couple of years, I've just been thinking about what the fans want from me. And that was motivation enough to bring out another classic album."
The disc is scheduled for release in June (09).
