Director Joe Johnston (Jumanji, Jurassic Park III), brings his interpretation of the 1966 Universal classic 'The Wolfman' to the big screen.
Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro - The Usual Suspects, Sin City), a nobleman haunted by the death of his mother is forced to return to the Victorian Hamlet of Blackmoor when he hears of the disappearance of his brother. After reuniting with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins - Silence of the Lambs, Nixon) in an effort to discover the truth behind his brother's disappearance, they soon discover that it is not just his brother who has vanished, but many of the villagers have also mysteriously disappeared, leaving a bloody trail behind.
The horrific killings attract the attention of a Scotland Yard inspector by the name of Aberline (Hugo Weaving - The Matrix, V For Vendetta) but Talbot tries to piece together the gory puzzle himself and in the process hears of an ancient curse that turns humans into bloodthirsty werewolves when the moon is full.
Talbot must now take it upon himself to hunt down the vicious beast lurking in the woods surrounding Blackmoor, but in doing so, discovers something he never thought existed. The beast in himself.
