The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas tells the story of friendship between a Nazi commandants son and a Jewish boy who is being help in a concentration camp. Bruno and Shmuel become friends through a barbed-wire fence, they know they should'n't be friends but neither really understand why and why they are being kept separate.

The film is based on John Boyne's fictional novel released on September 12th 2008.

Starring: David Thewlis (Harry Potter, Naked), Vera Farmiga (The Departed, Breaking and Entering) and Rupert Friend (The Libertine, Pride and Prejudice), and Asa Butterfield as Bruno and Jack Scanlon as Shmuel.

The film is produced by David Heyman (Harry Potter) and adapted for the screen and directed by Mark Herman (Little Voice, Brassed Off).
