The Buchman family are much like many other families, the kids have grown up and moved away from home and now Rachel (the elder sister) is planning on getting married, to celebrate the family have arranged a get together, the only problem might be Kym.

Kym's a free spirit and isn't against throwing biting comments at other family members, when she returns to the family house she brings with her many of her problems and cause much conflict within the family.

In Jonathan Demme's film Rachel Getting Married, the story is very character based, and takes viewers through situations that might be know to us all.
