Tracy Morgan is receiving 'excellent care' following the crash.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning in the early hours when Morgan and his entourage were returning from Morgan's latest appearance on his Turn it Funny tour. The 45-year-old had performed in Dover, Delaware the previous evening (Friday 6th June).
A man has been charged with numerous offences including one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto, as MTV reports. The man in question appears to have been driving a truck along the same stretch of highway as Morgan and the other four vehicles involved. The Georgia-born man, 35-year-old Kevin Roper, seemingly failed to notice the slow moving traffic and ploughed into the back of the column. A chain reaction, as the WSJ reports, ensued and tragically one man lost his life and several were injured.

The hospital have released a statement which reads "His [Morgan's] family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don't anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available."
The others involved in the crash have since been named by a law enforcement officer speaking to WSJ. They were Jeffrey Millea, comedians Ardie Fuqua Jr. and Harris Stanton. Stanton has since been released but the other three remain in a critical condition.
