Two months after bosses at the men's publication announced they would stop featuring pictures of naked women, they have confirmed Anderson, who has posed for the magazine several times, received a personal call from founder Hugh Hefner's attorney, during which she was invited to grace the cover topless one last time. "(The) attorney said, 'We don't want anybody else," she tells Entertainment Tonight. "There's nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy?'" It was one of the 48 year old's sons who informed her the magazine was undergoing a transformation, and after her initial shock, she admits she understands why the publishers would want to change direction. "I was like, 'What, are you serious'," she continues. "But then I thought that's probably a good thing. It's hard to compete with the Internet. And the girl next door doesn't exist anymore. She's taking selfies down her shirt, like, you know, there's no mystery over there anymore. It doesn't have that same charm and innocence that it used to." Anderson was initially hesitant to participate in the shoot, because her sons were teased and challenged to fist fights over her past racy photoshoots, so she turned to them before agreeing to bare all one more time. "I said, 'Hef just called, he wants me to do the last cover of Playboy'," she adds. "(Brandon) goes, 'Mom you've got to do it. We're older, we're not embarrassed anymore of you. You know, we think you're great'. He was so excited. He may have high-fived me! And then I asked (17-year-old) Dylan too, and Dylan's like, 'Mom, you know you've done it all'. I don't know what to say but they were really excited for me, and I was excited too." Anderson is grateful she was given a chance to pose for Playboy one more time, because she has started to feel insecure about her aging appearance. "People have been asking me over the last year, 'Would you ever pose for at Beverly Hills - Los Angeles, California, United States - Friday 4th December 2015
The former Baywatch star dished on the restrictive weight clauses, the on-set conflict and assorted other Baywatch secrets.
Nicole Eggert’s Baywatch career is long over, so it’s only natural that the actress and her co-stars would want to dish on some behind-the-scenes secrets now, such as the highly restrictive weight clause in their contracts. You’d expect a show, known mostly for its extremely athletic cast and skimpy red swimsuits to have some sort of rules on appearance, but it’s still a surprise to learn just how harsh those rules were.
Nicole Eggert has managed to stay in shape even after Baywatch, as she demonstrated on Splash earlier this year.
Eggert, along with Tracy Bingham, a castmember between 1996 and 1998, both confirmed that any weight fluctuations beyond five pounds up or down, could get them booted off the show. The two were joined by former castmembers David Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson, Brande Roderick and David Chokachi on ABC's Good Morning America, and all had some curious details to share.
