Trace Adkins' wife and children are fine after a blaze broke out at the family's home in Brentwood, Tennessee. Country singer Trace Adkins lost his house to the fire on Saturday but his three daughters were saved by adhering to fire safety tips they had learned in school, reports CNN.
The fire, which allegedly began in the garage, quickly spread to the attic of the large home leaving little behind in its wake. Despite standing on the neighbour's lawn watching her home burn to the ground, Trace's wife Rhonda Atkins remained upbeat, saying, "Stuff is stuff". Rhonda revealed she was several blocks away when a neighbour called with the bad news, saying, "She said that the house was on fire and we looked up in the air and we saw the black smoke. And I said, Oh, my God, this isn't happening, this isn't real". When Rhonda finally pulled into the drive, she found her child unhurt, saying, "They ran to their safe place like we practiced, in the front yard at a big tree. And it worked. You know, fire safety is so important, and today we used it". Trace was on a plane to Alaska when the fire broke out, but his publicist said he immediately boarded a return flight to Tennessee when he landed.
Trace Adkins was a finalist on NBC's 'Celebrity Apprentice' in 2008, eventually losing out to PIERS MORGAN.
