Country singer Trace Adkins was honoured for his humanitarian work at a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday (24Feb10).
The Chrome singer has performed for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and is an active supporter of several good causes, including the Wounded Warrior Project.
And his tireless charity work was recognised at the Country Radio Seminar bash, when officials at the Country Radio Broadcasters organisation named him the artist humanitarian of the year.
Adkins told the audience, "What an honour. I do what I can. It's minuscule, it seems. We just try to help out when we see needs. I'm not deserving of this. Thank you very much."
