Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's marriage is a ''work in progress''.

The couple - who documented their battle to save their relationship on their reality TV series, 'True Tori,' after Dean checked into rehab following a one-night stand with Emily Goodhand in December - are keen to rebuild their romance for the sake of their children Liam, seven, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and Finn, 22 months.

A source told People magazine: ''Tori feels she owes it to them [her children] to try to work it out with their dad, even though it's hard. They're working on their marriage and they're operating as a family, but of course there's tension. It's a work in progress.''

Meanwhile, friends of the former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star believe she will try her best to save their seven-year marriage until she has no more fight left in her.

The source explained: ''Tori's not a quitter, not even when it comes to something like this. She's going to do everything in her power to make her family whole. If it's going to work out, no one knows. I don't think she knows that herself. But that's the kind of person she is. She won't quit until she's totally defeated.''
