LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE star Toni Collette is putting her Hollywood career on hold in a bid to become a pop star.
The Australian actress jetted into Los Angeles this week (beg15JAN07) to attend the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, and she'll also be searching for a record deal while she's in town.
The actress-turned-singer has already enjoyed a little success in her native Australia, where she toured with her band TONI COLLETTE AND THE FINISH, and she'll hit the road for a larger-scale tour in February (07).
The Sixth Sense star released her debut album BEAUTIFUL AWKWARD PICTURES through her own small, independent Aussie label, Hoola Hoop Records, last year (06).
She tells Sydney's Daily Telegraph, "When I am in LA, I will be having conversations about furthering the American side of things."
The 34-year-old said a US tour was also being planned.
Collette's husband, Dave Galafassi, who is a member of Australian band GELBISON, also plays drums in her band.
