The album follows up their 2012 offering 'Oceania'; a definite success for the band which scored highly positive reviews all round; and is led by their newest single 'Being Beige'. The first of two albums so far for their new label BMG, 'Monuments To An Elegy' will be quickly followed up by 'Day for Night'. The idea was originally thought out as a double album, but frontman Billy Corgan later decided it would work better for the fans as single releases, which, according to him, 'in itself changed the process, writing and review'.

Pamela Anderson: "My Affinity With Animals Saved Me" After Years Of Childhood Sexual Abuse

Pamela Anderson Tommy Lee

Pamela Anderson apologised for “overexposing again” herself whilst at a charity event at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday (16th May). However, this was an entirely different kind of exposure as the 46-year-old actress, model and activist bravely revealed she was sexually abused as a child.

Anderson appeared in Cannes on board a yacht for a charity backgammon game in aid of Cool Earth, an organisation working to protect indigenous villages against rainforest destruction. She took the opportunity to launch her eponymously named foundation which supports a variety of “human, animal and environmental” charities and causes. The former Baywatch explained her reasons for her dedicated animal rights activism, explaining how her “affinity with animals” enabled her to cope with the horrors she had endured throughout her childhood, details of which she included in her speech.

The Californian metallers, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars, said they wanted to "go out on top" and with some "dignity," according to Sky News. To show that the retirement news isn't just a temporary measure or a publicity stunt, the band showed a 'Cessation of Touring' agreement that they had all signed and that will prevent any more touring unless all four members want to.

'Blackfish' Documentary: You'll Never Visit SeaWorld Again. [Trailer]

Tommy Lee

A new documentary titled Blackfish looks at the strange case of Tilikum, a 12,000-pound killer whale held in captivity at SeaWorld Orlando for several decades. According to director Gabriela Cowperthwaite - who co-wrote the film with Eli Despres - Tilikum has existed in dark water tanks and is responsible for killing several trainers.

According to the Los Angeles Times, SeaWorld purchased Tilikum from Victoria, Canada's faltering park in 1992, where the orca was one of three whales involved in the drowning of a trainer. In the film, it is suggested that Orlando claimed Tilikum would only be used for breeding purposes though went on to become a performing whale at the Florida site.

Essentially the debate here is simple: did the mammal's traumatic captivity lead the fatal attack on SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau in 2010?

No Pictures Please! Steven Tyler Leads The Fight Against Paparazzi

Steven Tyler Britney Spears Avril Lavigne Tommy Lee Neil Diamond

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will attend a hearing in Hawaii on Friday (February 8, 2013) for discussions on a bill that would limit people's freedom to take photographs and videos of celebrities. Hawaii's Senate Judiciary Committee plans to consider the so called 'Steven Tyler Act' this morning - the first time in which lawmakers will discuss the bill publically.

A publicist for the former American Idol judge - one of the most recognizable men on the planet - told the Associated Press that Tyler has submitted written testimony supporting the proposal, which would allow celebrities to collect damages from someone who takes photographs in an offensive way. Tyler certainly has some big hitters on-side, including Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Neil Diamond, Tommy Lee and the Osbourne family. "Providing a remedy to the often-egregious acts of the paparazzi is a very notable incentive to purchase property or vacation on the islands," the stars say, "Not only would this help the local economy, but it would also help ensure the safety of the general public, which can be threatened by crowds of cameramen or dangerous high-speed car chases." The proposal is perhaps all the more relevant following the recent death of a photographer in Los Angeles who was attempting to snap pictures of Justin Bieber.

Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie says he supports the intent of the bill, though warns it may needed refining. Opponents simply say the bill could be unconstitutional.

Deadmau5 brings up the rear and helps his friends settle themselves in their seats with their bags. Once everyone is in Deadmau5 gives the photographers a cheesy grin before signing a few autographs and getting into the car himself.

The New Guy Review

Weak

For its first 20 minutes or so, the big-geek-on-campus comedy "The New Guy" gets by on a semi-fresh twist of tiresome teen clique themes and a well-cast lead. DJ Qualls -- the 98-lb. walking weakling punchline from 2000's "Road Trip" -- plays a bottom-of-the-food-chain bully magnet who changes high schools and reinvents himself as a wiry, uber-cool bad ass.

But as soon as the kid gets comfortable with his new studly status (insert stock scenes of trampy cheerleaders here) and we've seen Qualls' entire comical cool-jerk repertoire, the movie plum runs out of ideas and putters along on fumes until the closing credits.

Lazy and simplistic, when "The New Guy" isn't beating long-dead genre horses (Qualls feels guilty, for about two minutes, about dissing his "real" friends for the in crowd), it's a blender-edited mish-mosh of abridged plot points. Our hero apparently teaches everyone in his new school to get along, but we don't see how he does it. Before long campus hotties are hanging off the arms of dorks, overweight guys and other former outcasts. No explanation there either. Qualls' dad (Lyle Lovett) and former school counselor (Illeana Douglas) think his new style and attitude are signs of a drug problem, but that story angle is abandoned after about 30 seconds.
