Barbara Broccoli reportedly thinks Hiddleston doesn't have what it takes to play 007.
The seemingly interminable speculation about who is set to become the next James Bond actor have taken another turn, with the revelation that Tom Hiddleston stands little chance of landing the part because, according to a producer, he’s “too smug”.
Bond chief Barbara Broccoli is reportedly not enamoured with the idea of The Night Manager actor Hiddleston, 35, playing 007 in the future, according to a new report by the New York Post’s Page Six.
“Barbara Broccoli doesn’t like Tom Hiddleston, he’s a bit too smug and not tough enough to play James Bond," a source told the publication on Wednesday (April 5th).

Kong: Skull Island was a lot of fun for all involved.
The making of Kong: Skull Island brought the diverse cast to a lot of exciting and visually stunning places which, thankfully, presented a lot of things to keep them occupied over the five months that they were shooting. Tom Hiddleston opened up about bonding over a variety of activities.
Tom Hiddleston had fun bonding with his co-stars
When your job takes you to the most beautiful places in the world - Queensland, Australia; Oahu, Hawaii; and Northern Vietnam - you'd be a fool not to make the most of what the local environment has to offer. For Tom Hiddleston, who plays James Conrad in 'Kong: Skull Island', he got the perfect opportunities to bond with his co-stars.

With Kong: Skull Island, Tom Hiddleston continues a barnstorming year that has included a high-profile biopic (I Saw the Light), an edgy British thriller (High-Rise) and a Golden Globe-winning TV series (The Night Manager). And he has Thor: Ragnarok coming in October.
For Tom Hiddleston, Kong was a chance to indulge in a genre he previously hasn't explored with great breadth: "As it was pitched to me, it was a big adventure film that was quite old-fashioned, but with a very fresh context," he says. "Truly, I think there's a part of all of us that wonders how we would survive on an island untouched by man. Even better, how we'd survive on an island untouched by man and inhabited by King Kong!"

Hiddleston was involved in the project early enough that he got to have input into developing his mercenary, ex-special forces character Captain James Conrad. "I wanted him to be someone who starts off in a world weary place," he says. "And his experiences on the island give him a new humility in the face of the wonder and power of the natural world."

Hiddleston was ambushed with a question about Swift while he was being interviewed about new film 'Kong: Skull Island'.
The 36 year old British actor appeared on the American breakfast TV show ‘Today’ in order to discuss and promote his new film, Kong: Skull Island, on Wednesday (March 8th). And it was probably the most British thing he ever heard.
Does peeing on someone really help with a jellyfish sting? Tom Hiddleston better hope so because he tested the theory on his co-star Tom Hollander when the latter got attacked by a gelatinous pest while they were at the beach. Needless to say, it didn't seem to work.
Tom Hiddleston peed on Tom Hollander's jellyfish sting
During his appearance on 'The Graham Norton Show' last night (February 16th 2017), 'The Night Manager' actor revealed how Hollander was stung (hopefully in just the leg or the foot or something) while taking a dip in the ocean, and the pair subsequently decided to test an age-old remedy - in the most British way possible.

Hiddleston opened up for the first time about his relationship with Taylor Swift, and THAT tank top.
Having been one half of the most famous celebrity coupling of 2016, Tom Hiddleston has at last broken his silence about his experience as part of the short-lived cultural phenomenon known as ‘Hiddleswift’, insisting that his romance with Taylor Swift was “real”.
‘The Night Manager’ actor, 35, had nothing but praise for pop megastar Swift, saying that her long-standing reputation as something of a man-eater is not deserved, although their relationship only lasted a little over three months.
“Taylor is an amazing woman. She’s generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time. Of course it was real,” Hiddleston told the newest edition of GQ magazine.

Hiddleston picked up the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made For Television, for ‘The Night Manager’.
Tom Hiddleston has apologised for his speech at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, admitting it was “inelegantly expressed”.
The actor came under fire on social media for the speech, which referenced his time in South Sudan and added that a group of Médecins Sans Frontières doctors told him they had “binge-watched” the ‘Night Manager’. After the awards the actor was criticised on social media, with some calling the speech ‘self-serving’.

Television has never been more exciting.
2016 has been a hell of a year for television. The Primetime Emmy nominations earlier this year were packed with a mass of incredible TV shows both brand new and ongoing, and it's not stopped there either. Whether it's a limited series of a long-running franchise, television has never been more loved.
Here are our favourite TV shows of the year:
Fleabag is written by and stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge
It's the 1970s and Captain James Conrad and Lieutenant Colonel Packard are leading a group of soldiers and explorers to a seemingly idyllic unmapped location in the Pacific.
Unfortunately, their journey requires some serious collateral damage, as they are forced to bomb the island and unwittingly incite the treacherous ire of Kong, the King of Skull Island. He crushes them - literally. That's what happens when you bomb the habitat of a giant ape. But soon they realise that Kong isn't the only outsize creature they have to fear, because the island is home to a group of demonic monsters as well, some that resemble spiders and others that resemble reptiles. Their only hope is to enlist the help of the island's inhabitants, tribal men and women who worship the great Kong but disapprove of the Americans' willingness to attack their home.
Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts ('The Kings of Summer'), 'Kong: Skull Island' is a re-imagining of the King Kong story, following him to his home on Skull Island where he first originated. The screenplay was written by Dan Gilroy and Max Borenstein, and filming spanned locations the likes of Hawaii, Australia's Gold Coast and Vietnam. Starring Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly, the film is scheduled to be released on March 10th 2017.

His recent romance with, and split from, a certain American singer might be the only thing that most people have been talking about with regards to Tom Hiddleston over the last few months – but one place where he was able to escape that was in a new interview with fellow actor Benedict Cumberbatch.
The Thor: Ragnarok star, 35, spoke to the ‘Sherlock’ and Doctor Strange actor Cumberbatch in a new exchange for Interview magazine’s October edition. In it, they spoke about everything from Hiddleston reprising his character of Loki to the pressures of life in the spotlight – but Cumberbatch was considerate enough not to ask him about his recently demised relationship.

Just how close did these stars get at the Emmys?

It’s not too late for Swift to say sorry, according to Perry.
It’s the most talked about feud in pop music, but on Saturday Katy Perry said she would consider working with her rival Taylor Swift, if the ‘Bad Blood’ singer apologises. The two stars have been rumoured to be feuding for years, a drama that was brought up again in July by Swift’s ex Calvin Harris, when he went on a Twitter rant which included a reference to her trying to 'bury Katy’.
Katy Perry would collaborate with Taylor Swift but there’s one condition
On Saturday Perry decided to hold a fan Q&A session on Twitter while she waited for a delivery from the Cheesecake Factory. While most of the questions were pretty mundane, one fan got right in there and asked: ‘will you collab with Taylor Swift?’.

Newly single Taylor sang along to her old flame’s hit, which she was revealed to have penned before their break-up.
Taylor Swift is single and ready to…sing and dance to her ex-boyfriend’s song, apparently. Taylor made her first public appearance since splitting with Tom Hiddleston at NYFW on Friday and while supporting pal Gigi Hadid she also sang along to ex Calvin Harris’ ‘This Is What You Came For,’ the song which caused so much controversy back in July.
32 year Harris broke up with Swift back in May this year, and he's spoken about the aftermath for the first time to GQ.
Four months after his relationship with Taylor Swift suddenly fell apart, Calvin Harris has finally addressed the break-up in a new interview for GQ magazine, for whom he is the cover star of its next edition.
On the same week that he won the GQ Award for Solo Artist of the Year in the magazine’s Men of the Year edition, 32 year old Harris has reflected that the disintegration of his 15-month romance with the pop star attracted far more headlines than their actual relationship ever did.

Reports suggest Taylor Swift has called time on her summer romance with Tom Hiddleston
The impressive international drama that has been Hiddleswift is no more. Latest reports suggest Taylor Swift has dumped her short-term public love Tom Hiddleston and has ended the three-month romance with the actor. It seems Taylor, who documented her new romance prominently on Instagram during her annual 4th July weekend celebrations, has shunned Tom because she didn’t like his "love of the limelight".

Hemsworth thinks 'Home & Away' should have won.
Poor Tom Hiddleston. He landed his first award for 'The Night Manager' last night (September 5th 2016) at the TV Choice Awards, but he was immediately mocked for his win by his 'Thor' co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba as he delivered a message via video link.
Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth are total buddies
He's seen numerous nominations for his part in the BBC drama, including at the Emmys, but it's only now Tom Hiddleston has managed to scoop his first prize as Best Actor at the TV Choice Awards. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to attend the awards ceremony himself, given that he was down under filming 'Thor: Ragnorok', but he did rise in the early hours of the morning to deliver his acceptance speech.
'I'm so sorry I can't be there tonight, I'm sure you all look lovely', he said. 'I'm in Australia, I'm shooting 'Thor: Ragnorok', I don't really have anything to offer you.'
After that, he was joined by Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba, who proceeded to manhandle the award and tease their friend about his win. 'Oh, is that for us? For 'Home & Away', yeah?' Joked Chris. 'Thanks everyone at Channel 7, I loved working on 'Home & Away'.'
Idris was a little harsh, examining the trophy and saying: 'Oh man, that's really awful, isn't it? What's this for?' He went on to ask why his detective series 'Luther' didn't get nominated and gave a nod to Tom's co-star Hugh Laurie. 'Hugh - you were amazing in 'The Night Manager'', he said.
'Chris and Idris are super happy about it and so am I so thank you very much', Tom said in his attempt to continue. 'Loved being 'The Night Manager', loved making 'The Night Manager'.'

'Home & Away' rocks! And so does 'The Night Manager'', Chris said before disappearing out of the frame.
Tom beat 'Doctor Who' star Peter Capaldi, 'Downton Abbey''s Jim Carter and Cillian Murphy from 'Peaky Blinders' to the Best Actor prize, while Sarah Lancashire from 'Happy Valley' got Best Actress. 'The Night Manager' did, however, lose to 'Doctor Foster' in the Best New Drama category.
Just four months after they got together, reports suggest Hiddleswift is on the verge of breaking apart.
After a sizzling summer romance in which they were seemingly unable to keep their hands off each other, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s relationship might be on the rocks, with a new report suggesting they are in “crisis mode” as they struggle to stay together.
A source told Radar Online on Monday (September 5th) that the A-list couple, who have been together since May this year but have already gone on several vacations and even done the meeting-the-parents thing, are heading for disaster, with 35 year old Hiddleston issuing the pop star with an ultimatum.

James Conrad is a British captain who leads an international envoy to the middle of the Pacific Ocean to charter some of Earth's most distant and mysterious lands. The captain is accompanied by a number of other members on the team including Randa, a government official who appears to know a few of the islands mysteries; a female photojournalist called Weaver who is known for her war photography; US Lieutenant Colonel Packard who is in charge of the UK troops who are also part of the mission.
As the vessel approaches the island, spirits are high and the team are ready to take choppers to the green land known as Skull Island. Soon their mission becomes disastrous as the inhabitants are far more feral than they could ever imagine. 'Thor 2: The Dark World' will continue its dominance over the box-office this weekend, but not for much longer.
Despite the release of Malcolm D. Lee's well-reviewed sequel The Best Man Holiday, Marvel's Thor 2: The Dark World will remain at No.1 on the box-office in its second weekend with a predicted gross of $40 million.
Chris Hemsworth in 'Thor 2: The Dark World'
The 3-D movie should take its overall gross to an incredible $450 million, which already eclipses the $450 million entire gross for the first Thor movie. It's another success story for Marvel, who will almost certainly green-light a third movie.
The top grossing film of the weekend was the latest Marvel/Disney outing, which absolutely dominated the box office
Thor: The Dark World almost became the top grossing November release of all time this weekend when it managed to bring in an estimated $86 million in the domestic market since its Friday (Nov 8) release in the USA. It narrowly missed out on beating the record set by Skyfall in 2012, but its numbers are nonetheless a fantastic result for studio bosses at Marvel and Disney.
Chris Hemsworth is back as the God of Thunder
Benefiting from the global blockbuster that was Marvel's The Avengers, much like Iron Man 3 did earlier this year, the estimated weekend takings of Thor 2 prove that there is still a great deal of life left in the superhero genre and despite lukewarm reviews, the film still has a keen and dedicated audience. The domestic performance from Thor 2 mirrors the similar successes enjoyed by the film in the international market, where it has already grossed $240.9 million. Thor was released a week earlier in a number of key international markets, including the United Kingdom and Australia, and has continued to perform well overseas.
The supporting actor in Thor: The Dark World has got a devoted following of his own.
Tom Hiddleston might play one of the now iconic villains of the Marvel-verse, but the charitable actor actually has little in common with his character in Thor: The Dark World. This past Halloween, Hiddleston took the chance to get in touch with his youngest fans, appearing in full Loki garb before an audience of 300 children at a recent special Halloween screening of Thor: The Dark World. For USA Today, the actor explained that he loves reconnecting with his youngest fans, because they put everything into perspective.
The movie and especially Hiddleston's character have been a constant news item for the past two weeks.
"Sometimes it's easy to forget that's who we're doing it for," Hiddleston says. "It really brought home to me what a privilege it is to occupy a place in this particular universe. When you hear the pleasure and delight of children, it makes it all worth it."
Marvel's latest offering should take home the money this weekend.
It’s not that Thor: The Dark World is a particularly brilliant film – the indifferent reviews put an end to that kind of talk – but probably the lack of meaningful competition that mean this weekend will be Marvel-centric. Chris Hemsworth and his chums should clean up.
Chris Hemsworth as Thor with Anthony Hopkins as Odin
The plot takes place after the events of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s Avenger’s. Thor is trying to restore peace across the cosmos, but an ancient race – lead by Malekith – have other ideas, and intend to restore the universe to its previous state of darkness. Thor must unite with his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) – who is serving prison time for war crimes on modern day earth, to save literally everything.
'Thor: The Dark World', ahead of its release in the US on Friday (8th November), has failed to impressive critics.
Thor: The Dark World is due to be released in the US this weekend. The sequel to the 2011 Marvel film sees Thor (Chris Hemsworth) reuniting with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) in order to face a new and dangerous enemy.
Tom Hiddleston's performance as Loki has been highly praised.
Critics have been largely underwhelmed by the film and have described it as lacking in the vigour and excitement of its predecessor. Critics have commented on two particular, and crucial, aspects of the film: namely the "overcomplicated" plot and the "tacky 3D effects."

The film follows an unparalleled success streak for Marvel.
Thor: The Dark World is nearing its US release – Friday, November 8th, as the primary contender for the weekend box office. In the UK, where the movie was released last week, it raked in an impressive £8.65 million on opening night and £5.54 million over its first weekend. Those are impressive numbers and nearly double those of the movie in second place, but the film’s overall European takings are even more stunning. The film was a number 1 release in several countries, including France, Germany and Spain taking $109.4 million worldwide in its first weekend.
The film expands on the love/hate relationship betweet Thor and Loki.
Thor: The Dark World tracks the struggles and enemies that Marvel’s Thor has to face, following the events of The Avengers (or The Avengers Assemble in the UK.) Starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, the film also boasts a star-studded British cast, including Tom Hiddleston, who returns as Loki, Idris Elba, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Christopher Eccleston in his debut appearance within the franchise. While a lot of the story takes place on Asgard, several key scenes from the movie were filmed on location in London.

The superhero sequel performed admirably in its first weekend in the overseas market, which should indicate a similarly positive return when it opens at home
Disney have had some troubling releases in the past few years, with potential blockbusters (we won't name names) bombing tremendously when they came to the big screen. Its a good thing that the Marvel branch of their movie operations is performing so well then, as the latest Disney/Marvel release, Thor 2: The Dark World, has already made a sizeable impression on the overseas market since it was released last week.
Opening in the UK and France on Wednesday, 30 October, and other major markets Australia and Germany a day later, the film was the runaway winner at the weekend box office in each of these foreign markets and early predictions have estimated that the film could have made up to $100 million already. According to Box Office Mojo, the film has made an estimated $109,400,000 from foreign markets since it was released last week. When the film opens in the US on 8 November, there is a good chance that it could match this kind of popular reception and go on to make a hefty amount in the box office by the end of its run.
The two actors have developed a brotherly bond over three movies.
It’s out. It’s here! Thor: The Dark World is finally in cinemas as of last Wednesday (in the UK and Europe) or Friday (in the US), and it is one of, if not the most buzz-worthy release of the season. Good or bad, that’s for moviegoers to decide on their own, but without spoiling anything for you, this might be the film in which we’ve seen Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki act more brotherly than ever. Maybe it’s that special bond that forms after doing three whole movies together or maybe it’s something else.
Can you spot the family resemblance?
After all, Hemsworth and Hiddleston have spoken about their instant chemistry in plenty of interviews and their ability to riff off each other has only gotten better with time and further collaboration. But besides improving their working relationship, Hemsworth and Hiddleston have also inadvertently become experts on Norse mythology – more or less.
Hiddleston flew from London to New York to surprises kids at a screening of 'Thor: The Dark World' at AMC Empire 25 in Times Square this week
Tom Hiddleston has garnered a reputation as being one of the kindest gentlemen you would be lucky enough to run in to. Whether he's tackling poverty, giving kids a lift on his shoulders for the sake of it, bringing people soup or just generally being a good guy, the man sets an example across celeb-dom of how you should behave. So when it came time for him to choose between staying in London and partying with his Thor co-stars following the premiere of Thor: The Dark World, or flying across to New York City to surprise kids at an advanced charity screening of the film, you can bet he chose the latter.
Hiddleston as Loki in the new film
Tom flew across the Atlantic just hours after attending the premiere of the Thor sequel to make a surprise, unannounced visit to an advanced screening of the film and to pay tribute to organisers at the Variety: the Children's Charity of New York and The Children's Aid Society. On Thursday, 31 October, the AMC Empire 25 cinema in Times Square held the one off Variety screening of the new Marvel adventure for the benefit of some of the city's underprivileged children - the perfect arena for Hiddleston to flex his gentlemanly muscles yet again.

While pretty much all the reviews on the web are insisting that it does not live up to the standards of the first movie, few people are complaining.

Marvel can't help itself: these movies have to get bigger and crazier. And this one leaves us wondering where they can possibly go next, as it spirals into a madly funny-scary thriller that threatens the existence of the whole universe. But it also feels like a story children would make up as they go along. Still, the sparky characters and wildly cataclysmic approach are hugely entertaining.
The action picks up right after the Battle of New York (see 2012's The Avengers), and scientist Jane (Portman) is miffed that Thor (Hemsworth) didn't call when he was back on Earth. She has just started dating a nebbish Londoner (O'Dowd) when her assistant Darcy (Dennings) stumbles into a spatial anomaly that draws Jane right into the middle of a 5,000-year-old struggle between Thor's home-realm Asgard and the dark elf Malekith (Eccleston), who wants to use a swirling goo called the Aether to plunge all of existence into blackness just as the universe aligns itself. As this convergence approaches, Thor defies his father Odin (Hopkins) and turns to his disgraced, malicious brother Loki (Hiddleston) for help.
The film is overcrowded with small but pivotal characters, including stern but helpful gatekeeper Heimdall (Elba), mad-doctor Erik (Skarsgard) and Odin's wise wife Frigga (Russo). All of them help distract us from the movie's wildly shifting tone as it darts from sardonic comedy to Lord of the Rings-style battles to silly romance to dark emotion. But the best thing is the tense, unpredictable relationship between Thor and Loki, an enjoyable mixture of sibling rivalry and brotherly love that's well-played by Hemsworth and especially Hiddleston. None of the other characters really has a chance to develop around them. But at least the actors have fun with their roles, including a number of hilarious cameos along the way (there are also two post-credit stings).

Thor 2: The Dark World's appears to be Marvel's latest success, though it's not Chris Hemsworth who steals the show.
Marvel fans in Britain have a chance to see Thor 2: The Dark World next weekend, a whole week before their American friends across the Atlantic. The question is: will they be taunting the yanks over seeing one of the better Marvel movies in recent years or warning them to save the $20 and wait for the DVD?

The sequel to Kenneth Branagh's well-received movie continues the story of the Mighty Avenger as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from the shadow enemy that predates the universal itself. In the aftermath of Thor - and The Avengers for that matter - the main man (Chris Hemsworth) fights to restore order across the cosmos though his task is made a tad more difficult with the arrival of the vengeful Malekith (Christopher Ecclestone) who returns to the plunge the universe into darkness.
Tom Hiddleston has been having his say on Thor: The Dark World.

'Sherlock' star Benedict Cumberbatch is sexiest movie star according to Empire poll, with Emma Watson landing the sexiest female star title.
The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' star isn't the most likely sex symbol of Hollywood, but the Brit definitely proved to be best after he was picked by 50,000 more fans than any of the other movie screen hotties. Perhaps the people of the world prefer the mysterious, intelligent look these days - or maybe it's just the accent as 'The Avengers' star Tom Hiddleston came in at second place.
We're surprised at the outcome as 'Man Of Steel' hunk Henry Cavill and 'The Place Beyond the Pines' cutie Ryan Gosling looked like dead certs to receive the honour, with the latter's numerous onscreen romances (we all remember 'The Notebook') and the former's portrayal of Superman, one of the most charming characters ever created.
The first episode of this series is 'Richard II' detailing the life of the King between 1398 and 1400; his greed, his severity in regards to his subjects and his eventual overthrow by his cousin Henry Bolingbroke, who, after claiming the throne, had Richard imprisoned and later murdered. The second two episodes are based on Bolingbroke, now dubbing himself Henry IV, who's Kingship has brought with it a revolt with the Percy family. His son, the future Henry V, is determined to be King one day, but with a disapproving father who'd rather Henry Percy (aka Hotspur) become his heir, there is understandable bloodshed. The final episode tells the story of Henry V, who struggles with the complexity of war and his own moral standing as a ruler.

Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and friends are up to their usual tricks as they return to our screens which sees them embark on a major world tour, selling out the biggest theatres in the likes of Berlin, Madrid and London. However, as can be expected from the rabble-rousing Muppets, things don't run smoothly and they manage to get embroiled in an organised jewellery heist behind which sits Kermit's mean doppelganger and his equally evil sidekick. When Kermit gets into some serious trouble after a terrible mix up, it's up to the Muppets to once again face their enemies just like they did with oil magnate Tex Richman when he threatened to drill into the Muppets' theatre for oil. Will they succeed once again? Or will their new troubles prove too much for the feisty characters?
Marvel's Thunder God, Thor returns in the latest superhero blockbuster, Thor: The Dark World (sequel to self titled film: Thor) where he must face his greatest battle to save Earth and all nine realms 'from a Darkness known only to one' lead by the feared Malekith. Thor must risk everything by reuniting with his brother and Avengers Villian: Loki in order to protect his beloved Jane Foster in what promises to be the most thrilling Thor adventure yet.
The film see's the Return of stars: Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston with the introduction of acclaimed actor Christopher Eccleston as Malekith and Alan Taylor replacing Kenneth Branagh as director. Stan Lee remains Executive Producer alongside Alan Fine, Nigel Gostelow, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Craig Kyle.
Marvel and DC competed for supremacy at the San Diego Comic-Con last weekend. Marvel, through sheer force of films, won. The Avengers, Thor and X-Men appeared with their full casts. DC's Superman caused a stir by announcing the Man of Steel sequel will feature Batman.

The X-Men panel certainly had the most impressive cast turnout. Actors from across the X-Men films appeared to promote X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is due to be released in 2014. Ian McKellan flirted with the younger reincarnation of his character Magneto, Michael Fassbender, commenting on Proposition 8, he said "It's great to be back in California, I feel safe here now." He continued by announcing "I'm looking for a husband", cheekily adding "it's great to meet you Michael".

Ben Affleck is following the likes of Hugh Jackman and Tom Hiddleston by living off just $1.50 per day.
Oscar-winner Ben Affleck has announced he will live on just $1.50 a day as part of the Global Poverty Project's Live Below The Line campaign. The Argo director is following the lead of Hugh Jackman, who successfully lived on the same amount for the campaign in 2011, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Affleck - a long-time charity campaigner - took to Twitter to show his support. "1.4 billion people live on less than $1.50/day. I'm joining Live #BelowTheLine on behalf of @easterncongo. Will you?," he tweeted. The challenge is meant to "give a glimpse into the lives of 1.4 billion people who have no choice but to live below the line every day - and who have to make $1.50 cover a lot more than food," according to the organizaton's website.
Jonah Hill, Katie Couric and Justin Bieber's Scooter Braun also tweeted their support for the case, while musician Josh Groban has raised $4,700 so far after commitment to spending just $1.50 per day on food and drink. "In today's world, extreme poverty and inequality are unjustifiable and unfair. Live Below the Line demonstrates the problem in a concrete way, while raising money to address the problem." Thor: The Dark World actor Tom Hiddleston posted a video of himself on his fifth day of the challenge. The clip shows Tom in his kitchen with a simple baked potato for lunch. He also tweeted his meals throughout the challenge, which included boiled rice with vegetables, and an omelette with kidney beans. "Profoundly aware that to live truly #belowtheline I would have to forego many & various privileges....," he tweeted in April, adding, "To live truly #belowtheline I would have to surrender the roof over my head, gas, electricity, and clean, running water."

The trailer for Thor: The Dark World has finally arrived, and it looks pretty impressive.
Thor has had a pretty rough couple of years, what with battling his adoptive brother Loki and other enemies in The Avengers, but he's dusted himself down and is back for more. In Thor: The Dark World, the hammer wielding hero returns to Earth to reunite with his beloved Jane Foster, played here by Natalie Portman, and whisks her back to his home in Asgard.

Of course, living happily ever after would be too easy (and a little boring) and Thor unfortunately brings Jane back to terrible danger. A dark race led by the ruthless Malekith plans to plunge the entire universe into oblivion, leaving Thor to confront his imprisoned brother for help. The new movie is the sequel to Kenneth Branagh's 2011 movie and is set some time after Joss Whedon's The Avengers. Based on the comic books of Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, Thor 2 is helmed by a new director in Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Mad Men) though is penne d by returning screenwriter Don Payne (Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer) alongside Christopher Yost (The Avengers) and Stephen McFeely (The Chronicles of Narnia).
Following the dramatic events of 'Thor' and 'The Avengers' which saw Thor battling not only his double-crossing adoptive brother Loki but a series of other nemeses, the hammer wielding hero returns to Earth to reunite with his beloved Jane Foster and whisk her away to his home in Asgard. Unfortunately, he ends up bringing her towards terrible danger that he himself could not fathom. A dark race that predates even the oldest corners of the universe; a race of elves led by the ruthless Malekith who plans to plunge the entire universe back into oblivion in a vengeful pursuit that will destroy everything that Thor and Odin have fought to protect. In desperation, Thor confronts his imprisoned brother and asks for help in exchange for his freedom with the promise that he will destroy Loki if he dares betray him again. Can Thor and the rest of Asgard defeat the latest dark force that threatens them? Or will such a primitive power prove impossible to overcome?
