Hiddleston can recite whole scenes from ‘Heat’ and isn't afraid to do it in front of De Niro himself.
Any good Tom Hiddleston fan knows that the Avengers star likes to show off his impersonation skills, but on 'The Graham Norton Show' on Friday he really put his talents to the test, by impersonating Robert De Niro in front of the man himself.
Tom Hiddleston showed off his impersonation skills on ‘The Graham Norton Show’.
Hiddleston was appearing on Norton’s sofa along with De Niro and his The Intern co-star Anne Hathaway as well as Kenneth Branagh, who directed the first Thor movie. De Niro of course is one of the most imitated stars in all of Hollywood, something which, luckily for Hiddleston, the legendary actor doesn't mind.
The two Avengers had been spotted out and about together fueling rumors of a super-powered romance.
It seems that Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston might be a little more than just two big screen superheroes from the same mega movie franchise. The pair, who are both part of the Avengers, are rumoured to be Hollywood’s hottest new couple after they were spotted together on a night out in London.

Hiddleston and Olsen were picture leaving in a taxi together after dining at The Wolseley in the capital on Thursday. The public outing comes just two months after rumours of the pair’s off-screen romance first made headlines.
The first full-length trailer for Guillermo Del Toro's 'Crimson Peak' is just as terrifying as you'd expect from the director of Mimic and The Devil's Backbone.
Back in February, horror fans were given a first glimpse of Guillermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak, and now the acclaimed Mexican director has unveiled the full-length trailer of a film that is sure to top many people's must-see lists this Halloween.
Don't be afraid of the dark... Mia Wasikowska in Crimson Peak
Set in a spooky mansion in Victorian England, Crimson Peak tells the story of a young author, played by Mia Wasikowska, who discovers her charming new husband (Thor's Tom Hiddleston) is not quite who he appears to be.
Edith Cushing is an aspiring writer of horror, who soon becomes plagued by shadows of the past following a tragic occurrence within her family. She meets the handsome and mysterious Sir Thomas Sharpe who is impressed with her work and asks for her hand in marriage. While she has reservations about rushing into a marriage with a stranger so quickly, she proceeds to move into his enormous spooky house with him and his brooding sister Lady Lucille Sharpe. It quickly becomes clear, though, that the Sharpes are hiding something from Edith, when she is refused a house key on the basis that part of the house is 'unsafe'. It's not long before she begins to feel a presence around her, terrifying apparitions start to rise from the shadows and a plague of blood engulfs the walls. The determined author ventures on a quest to uncover the truth about the house's violent and deadly past - and she has rather a lot of questions for her new housemates.

Elizabeth Olsen might be an ‘Avenger’ but she’s not in Taylor Swift’s gang.
When Avengers star Elizabeth Olsen met Taylor Swift you’d probably assume that they became fast friends, after all Swifty seems to be BFFs with every hot young Hollywood star. But sadly for Olsen things didn't go quite as planned when she ran into the singer at a bar and the 26 year old found herself indulging in some major fangirling.
Elizabeth Olsen is not yet in Taylor Swift’s gang.
Appearing on 'The Late Late Show With James Corden', Olsen recalled her embarrassing encounter with the ‘Shake it Off’ singer when they met during a friends birthday party. Describing her love for Swift Olsen told Corden that earlier in the day she’d been listening to Taylor during her ballet class.

Tom Hiddleston appears to have side-stepped 'Ben Hur' to work on 'Skull Island'
On the same day that Jack Huston was confirmed for Paramount's 'Ben-Hur', Tom Hiddleston - the man apparently sought for that role - has been confirmed for Legendary's 'Skull Island'. The movie will explore the origins of King Kong.
Tom Hiddleston has opted for 'Skull Island'
Previous King King movies have briefly explored the island before the ape hit New York City, though Skull Island will "take audiences deeper inside this rich world with a style and scope that parallels other Legendary productions." As HitFix notes, the "parallels" could imply that we'll see a battle between Kong and Godzilla, who is also the property of Legendary Pictures. This is strengthened by the fact that Max Borenstein, who co-wrote Godzilla, is penning Skull Island.

Could Tom Hiddleston be the new Ben Hur?
MGM and Paramount are courting British actor Tom Hiddleston to play Ben-Hur in a remake of the epic 1959 movie, based on Lew Wallace's novel Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ. The film won 11 Academy Awards and became the second highest grossing movie in history, after Gone With The Wind.

Tom Hiddleston sent a ridiculously good email to Joss Whedon. That is all.
Looking forward, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the decade's most anticipated films, mainly due to the success of its predecessor. And we’ve been compelled to think back to Joss Whedon’s 2012 powerhouse superhero collective epic because of a touching email sent by Tom Hiddleston, who played Loki in the movie.

“Joss, I am so excited I can hardly speak,” begins Hiddleston, saying the first time he read the Avengers script he “grabbed at it like Charlie Bucket snatching for a golden ticket somewhere behind the chocolate in the wrapper of a Wonka Bar.” You can read the whole thing below. But our favourite paragraph goes something like this:

Let's get real here.
Hey girl, did you know that Ryan Gosling is about to be a dad? Neither did anyone else until this week, but when he and girlfriend Eva Mendes broke the news, the internet exploded with highly inappropriate amounts of “grief.” Well, it was mostly just Twitter. Well, mostly just overdramatic Gosling and Notebook fans. But in honor of these poor lovestruck souls (you can read some choice tweets below) we’ve compiled a list of five other people you are never going to date – no matter how much you’d like to.
Gosling and Mendes got together in 2011, so he's technically been off the market for some time now.
Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. When asked to choose between this power couple, most people would be fine with either. Jolie is intelligent, charitable, worldly and stunning. Brad Pitt, even after his hey-day is… how do we put this delicately… hot, not to mention a creative and business-savvy force to be reckoned with. Fortunately for them, they seem to have found a good thing – lasting marriage, a whole litter of children and thriving careers to boot. Unfortunately for us, this means that both are off the market for good. The same largely applies to Beyonce and Jay Z, by the way.
Will Hiddleston as Hank Williams fare as well as these four?
The very English Tom Hiddleston has just been cast as country legend Hank Williams in an upcoming biopic entitled, I Saw the Light. Hiddleston, who’s best known as The Avenger’s Loki will be rerecording some of William’s biggest hits for the movie, which is set to begin production in October. We can all agree that biopics, especially music ones, are usually a bit hit or miss. In most cases they either pick many award nominations or end up as a bit of an embarrassment. But curiously, country music biopics seem to fare well with both audiences, the critics and the all important Academy. If Hiddleston needs some inspiration, here’s four examples of when country music proved to be a big hit on the big screen, especially for the leading actor.

British-born actor Tom Hiddleston has allegedly been cast to play country singer Hank Williams in an upcoming biopic about the country singer's life. Deadline reports that Hiddleston will learn Williams’ Alabama accent and how to play his music for the role.

The biopic, titled “I Saw The Light” is based on the 1994 book “Hank Williams: The Biography,” written by Colin Escott, George Merritt and William MacEwan. Famed producer Marc Abraham has written the screenplay and will also be directing the film, which he plans to begin shooting this October in Louisiana.
Celine Dion was among many of the celebrities who had roles specifically written for her before she agreed to do the film.
Celine Dion's role in the 'Muppets Most Wanted' was scripted with her in mind.
The film which stars children's favourites Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and Fozzy Bear among others, has a number of A-List cameo appearances, including Salma Hayek, Tom Hiddleston and Usher, and director James Bobin insists the roles were written specifically for these celebrities, before they officially agreed to appear in the film.
He said: ''Largely we write those roles in the script. Often we even write the name of the particular person. What we find, is that because there's a great love for the Muppets the people we ask tend to say yes. Which is really rare.

Where the 2011 reboot felt effortless in the way it recaptured that warmly anarchic Muppets humour, this sequel feels like it's working every step of the way. Yes, it's riotously silly and occasionally hilarious, but there are large chunks of the movie that just aren't funny at all, mainly because there's so much emphasis on the tangled web of a plot that the characters get lost in the shuffle.
It starts just as the last movie ended: the Muppets decide to do a sequel based on an idea from interloper Dominic (Ricky Gervais) to take their show on a world tour. But Dominic is actually in league with super-villain frog Constantine (Matt Vogel), who has just escaped from a gulag. So when the Muppet Show lands in Berlin, he orchestrates a swap: Constantine takes Kermit's place in the show, while Kermit (Steve Whitmire) is sent to Siberia under the watchful eye of guard Nadya (Tina Fey). Meanwhile, Interpol agent Jean-Pierre (Burrell) and CIA operative Sam Eagle (Eric Jacobson) are investigating a series of robberies mysteriously linked to Muppet performances in Berlin, Madrid and Dublin.
All of this builds to a head in London, where Constantine is staging an elaborate wedding to Miss Piggy (Jacobson) to distract from his real plan to steal the Crown Jewels. But this plot-strand feels predictable and limp compared to much more interesting character interaction. For example, scenes between Kermit and Fey are a lot more fun as they plan a musical revue with the inmates (and get Trejo and Liotta sing and dance!). And the escalating banter between Sam Eagle and Burrell is hilarious even as it indulges in cheap Euro-jokes.

Tom Hiddleston and James McAvoy are among these Hollywood actors who have given Shakespeare a shot in between shooting blockbusters.
There’s no better way of proving that you are a true artiste than taking on a challenging Shakespearean role. Not content with raking in millions of dollars from their blockbuster movies, these famous actors and actresses decided that they needed some to shake up their careers with a bit of William Shakespeare.
Tom Hiddleston’s talents aren’t restricted to playing Marvel Comics’ super villian, Loki. The Thor star has a soft spot for Shakespeare, starring in the Hollow Crown series as Henry V as well as taking on Coriolanus at the Donmar Warehouse. Sounds like an easy role to kill a bit of time in between filming. Well, maybe not, but there’s certainly a lot of killing of some kind.
Tom Hiddleston isn't just the bad guy from Thor
Pixie Hollow fairy friends Tinker Bell, Vidia, Iridessa, Fawn, Silvermist and Rosetta are all blessed with a unique talent to manipulate certain areas of nature. During an ice show, they discover that estranged fairy Zarina is responsible for the poppy decorations which send all the guests to sleep allowing her to steal the Blue Pixie Dust for her pirate friends at Skull Rock. Tink and the others must get the Dust back as soon as possible as it is essential in their ability to fly, but when they manage to anger Zarina by approaching her, they find that all their talents have been swapped between them. Struggling to control their new found powers, they must continue their quest to retrieve the Pixie Dust for when the rest of Pixie Hollow awaken - but that all proves to be easier said than done as time is quickly running out.
Kermit and friends are set to go international with the help of their unfortunately named new tour manager Dominic Badguy, with hopes of selling-out major theatres in all the big cities of the world including Berlin, Madrid and London. As usual though, things are not about to run smoothly for these trouble magnets as they are forced to postpone their tour when Kermit becomes under suspicion for robbery. It's bad luck for him that there's another frog in town - the formidable Constantine, who organises a jewel heist with the knowledge that he may evade capture because of his unwitting doppelganger. Constantine tries to pretend he's Kermit amongst the other Muppets in an effort to evade detection while Kermit gets locked up, but will they realise their mistake in time to release their real friend and finish their tour?

It's hardly surprising that laconic filmmaker Jim Jarmusch (Broken Flowers) has created such an inventively offbeat vampire movie, helped hugely by the ace casting of Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as extremely long-term lovers. Fans of the genre might find the movie a bit slow and relaxed, but sharp humour and especially strong characters make it unmissable.
In a run-down house in Detroit, centuries-old Adam (Hiddleston) is living in squalor while anonymously creating club music with the assistance of Ian (Yelchin), who finds things like antique guitars for him to play. He gets his supply of clean O-negative blood from a helpful doctor (Wright). Meanwhile in Tangiers, Adam's wife Eve (Swinton) relies on her old pal Marlowe (Hurt) for the blood she sips at sunrise like a cocktail before lapsing into a deep sleep. Bored, Eve decides to visit Adam, so books nighttime flights and arrives to a blissful reunion. But their solace is interrupted when her wild-child sister Eva (Wasikowska) turns up.
These may be creatures of the night, but over thousands of years they have discovered exactly what kind of art soothes their souls. And Eva's boisterous presence disrupts their languorous peace even more than the fact that the blood supply is becoming increasingly contaminated. Adam and Eve call humans "zombies" dismissively and joke about their influence on key events and inventions throughout history. Hiddleston and Swinton are utterly perfect for these roles, bringing out details that are hilarious as well as emotionally moving. They also let us see the years of boredom mixed with a glimmer of childish curiosity that would be required to survive for so long.

A JG Ballard novel, directed by 'A Field In England's' Ben Wheatley with Tom Hiddleston just cast in the lead role, 'High Rise' could be our new most anticipated future release.
With director Ben Wheatley announcing that Tom Hiddleston has been cast in the lead role in the upcoming 'High Rise', we're now brimming with anticipation for the JG Ballard adaptation. The director set tongues wagging by tweeting a picture of the movie poster and writing “here we go. Cant quite believe this is happening. Tom Hiddleston! Jeremy Thomas! Script by Amy Jump! JG BALLARD!” The big screen version of 'High Rise' has been in the works for decades so we thought we'd give some explaination of the project's history and what can be expected now it's finally hitting the big screen.
Tom Hiddleston has been cast as the lead in 'High Rise.'
What is 'High Rise'?;
High Rise' was published by English author JG Ballard in 1975, Ballard had just gained notoriety for his novel 'Crash', published two years earlier. Like many of Ballard's works 'High-Rise' is a dystopian work looking at the negative impact of modern life. It centers on a new residential tower which was designed as a luxurious solution to the problems of the city, but where the residents find themselves becoming increasingly isolated. Hiddleston will play Robert Laing, a young doctor who, as life in the High Rise deteriorates and residents break into tribal factions, finds himself in the middle of mounting violence that begins to emerge in himself.

The Star Wars Episode VII rumour mill takes in a national treasure, while spies take over London. New trailers offer Swinton and Hiddleston as immortal lovers, Hoffman as a German agent, a new spin on E.T. and more airbrushed abs than you can count...
The best rumour this week is that Judi Dench may play Mon Mothma in Star Wars Episode VII, which director Jj Abrams starts shooting in the UK this spring. The character is a rebel leader in both III: Revenge of the Sith and VI: Return of the Jedi, but there's no foundation to this story. Rumours have been rampant over recent weeks and are bound to get even more inventive in the coming months. The original Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill has been keeping his lips tightly sealed when being quizzed about 'Star Wars VII'.
The year's first blockbuster, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, held its UK premiere this week before the spy adventure's British opening this weekend. Stars Chris Pine, Keira Knightley and Kenneth Branagh (who also directed) were joined on the red carpet by an array of local almost-celebrities. Browse through our 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit' UK premiere' photo gallery.
An ancient vampire named Adam is desperate to remain hidden from the world in his Detroit home. But that's harder than it looks as people are becoming increasingly interested in the music he makes and his mysterious ways. However, it seems music is not his only passion when his old lover Eve makes her way over to his home to rekindle their long lost feelings for each other. Enamoured at the sight of each other, it isn't long before all their attentions are focused on each other, but things aren't as easy as they should be when Eve's perpetually irritating little sister Ava shows up to see them and proceeds to test Adam and Eve's relationship to the limits as Adam struggles to contain his frustration at having her around. The pair have more to worry about, however, such as how they are going to survive in a quickly decaying world.
'Only Lovers Left Alive' is a hearty vampire flick written and directed by Jim Jarmusch ('Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai', 'Broken Flowers', 'Dead Man'). What makes it different to vamp films of recent times, however, is that the characters' monstrous natures take a bit of a back seat as romance and drama become the movie's main themes. It is due for release in the UK on February 21st 2014.
Several films due to be premiered at the Sundance Film Festival are generating a hefty amount of conversation
The Sundance Film Festival is the place to be for young, aspiring filmmakers hoping to crack into the hotly-contested business of the movies. By the end of the film festival, which this year runs from 16-26 January, there are always a selection of film titles that are revived for the following awards season, and this year people are so eager for the celluloid showcase that a number of early contenders for festival glory have been marked before their debut release.
The dark God's Pocket stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Eddie Marsan
In thirty years the film has discovered some of the most promising filmmakers out there and continues to deliver, from Roland Joffé’s The Killing Fields in the festival's opening year (1985) to last year's most notable success; Fruitvale Station, the debut feature length from Ryan Coogler. With another 120 films to get through this year it seems more than likely that at least one of the releases will be leaving Park City, Utah, with more than a few skiing lessons and a commemorative t-shirt.
In light of Fast & Furious' new release dates, we take a look at the box office landscape for 2015.
Yesterday the release date for Fast & Furious 7 was announced for April 2015. As predicted, this allows for some production delays and for the cast and crew to have a mental health break following Paul Walker’s death.
It also means that the film will be pitched against a different set of competitors, which might affect the franchise’s profits. In July 2014, the main competitor to our favorite fast-cars-no-plot franchise would have been Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Vin Diesel broke the news via Facebook yesterday.
Tinker Bell, Vidia, Iridessa, Fawn, Silvermist and Rosetta are fairies of Pixie Hollow who each have a different talent. However, their lives and identities are turned upside down when a newly turned Pirate Fairy named Zarina steals the Blue Pixie Dust which enables them to fly and joins the lawless seafarers of Skull Rock. In a bid to take back their magic, they venture forth to Zarina's pirate ship but only wind up angering her. She lashes out with her own powers and transforms them all so that all their talents are swapped. While trying to work out who has whose power, they must continue their quest to retrieve the Pixie Dust - but without their natural instincts and limited flying ability, just how difficult is that going to be?

The British actor was voted as the 'Sexiest Man Alive' by Glamour magazine
Henry Cavill has topped the latest poll by Glamour magazine to determine the '100 Sexiest Men Alive.' The Man of Steel actor took the top spot from four-time winner of the accolade Robert Pattinson, who after four consecutive years of being declared the world's biggest hunk, fell down to number two this year.
Henry Cavill is apparently the sexiest man alive
The Twilight-star has long been a favourite for the magazine when compiling their yearly list of sexiest men, but this year the spandex-wearing DC superhero Cavill proved too dashing to ignore, as he leaped to the top spot. Cavill was chosen as the sexiest man alive by the magazine on the back of his successful turn as Superman in the blockbuster Man of Steel, with his chiselled abs and facial features probably going some way towards securing his spot at the top of the poll too.
