Tom Hardy is set to star in thriller 'Locke'.
'The Dark Knight Rises' actor has been cast in Steven Knight's fast-paced film about a man who embarks on a 90-minute race against time after receiving an unexpected phone call, which the director has pledged to shoot in a 90-minute real time take.
Steven - who has also scripted the IM Global film - said in a statement picked up by the Hollywood Reporter: ''I'm really excited to be working with Tom Hardy on an innovative piece of filmmaking which will exercise his immense talent to the full.''
British stud Tom will play Ivan Locke, a man with the perfect family and career, whose professional and personal lives are threatened when he is forced to make a difficult decision.
Stuart Ford, IM Global's CEO, commented: ''We enjoyed the ride with Steven, [and producers] Paul and Guy so much that we're delighted to be in business with the same team on 'Locke'. Adding a brilliant talent like Tom to the equation makes the prospect all the more exciting.''
Tom has just wrapped 'Mad Max: Fury Road' and with filming for 'Locke' kicking off in London at the end of February, it appears the thriller will hit cinemas before his new drama 'Animal Rescue', co-starring Noomi Rapace.
