Set to join the upcoming third season of the CW's 'The Flash' is 'Harry Potter' star Tom Felton, who is signed on to play series regular Julian Dorn. Little is known about this new character as of yet, but he's expected to make an appearance very early on in the forthcoming series.

Tom FeltonTom Felton goes from Draco to DC

The British actor, best known for playing Harry Potter's arch-nemesis Draco Malfoy in the movie franchise, will play a character named Julian Dorn according to an exclusive story from TV Line; a man who could be either an ally or an enemy for Barry Allen given that he is a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department. Apparently, he's deeply suspicious of Allen's heroic reputation, and starts to think there's something more to him. It doesn't have to be a bad thing if Dorn finds out, but Allen likes to keep his true identity under wraps for a reason.

Because the name doesn't appear in the DC Comics world as far as we know, speculation has arisen over whether Dorn is a brand new character created solely for the series, or if it's merely a pseudonym and Dorn is really a well-known comic book character. We'll have wait until the Fall to find out.

Since 'Harry Potter', Surrey-born Tom Felton has appeared in US TV shows the likes of 'Murder in the First' and 'Full Circle', as well as films such as 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes', 'The Apparition', 'Belle' and 'Risen'. He has a few more films in the works too; he'll appear alongside Dominic Cooper in the terrorist thriller 'Stratton' and Chadwick Boseman in the revenge thriller 'Message From The King', as well as featuring in Gabriela Cowperthwaite's war drama 'Leavey', 40s romance 'A United Kingdom' and the screenwriting debut of 'Pretty Little Liars' star Troian Bellisario entitled 'Feed'
