Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the 'Harry Potter' films, is backing Severus Snape to win the Harry Potter World Cup.
The 23-year-old actor - who plays Draco Malfoy in the 'Harry Potter' film series - thinks the villain, who is portrayed by Alan Rickman, will triumph over finalist Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) in the competition to find the best character in the movies.
He told MTV: "Everyone loves Snape. He has the greatest story of the lot, I think, where you don't know which he's going to be the whole way.
"He has a beautiful ending, doesn't he? I didn't expect that at all. It's so nice to see this hard character Snape turn into this soft shell of a man."
But Rupert is not too confident his character can see off the challenge of Snape.
When asked if he thought Ron would triumph, he replied: "I don't think I could do that. I mean, Snape is a great character."
Voting in the competition - which originally consisted of 64 wizards and witches from the 'Harry Potter' films before being whittled down to two - ends later today (11.07.11).
