Tom Cruise paid tribute to the bravery of the Japanese following the March (11) earthquake and tsunami disasters as he debuted his new Mission: Impossible movie in the country on Thursday (01Dec11).
The east coast of the nation was rocked by the double disaster, which killed more than 15,000 people.
The clear-up effort is still continuing, and Cruise heaped praise on Japan's citizens as he debuted Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol at a fan screening in Tokyo, according to Reuters.
Cruise says, "I know this country has been through lots this year. But I also know the strength and courage of this country and I know you will get through it. And I want you to know how much we love you and the world is thinking of you, and we are here."
