Rapper Tinie Tempah missed out on the chance of a duet with Adele last year (11) after the soul sensation stalled their collaboration to undergo throat surgery.
The Brits met up in Los Angeles last summer (11) and discussed the possibility of a project together, but Adele was forced to take a music hiatus after a recurring voice problem.
The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker underwent an operation in November (11) to mend her vocal cords - and Tinie fears he's missed his chance of a duet with her.
He tells music website Noise11, "After the throat thing, I really backed away. Towards the middle of last year we met in L.A. properly and started hanging out a lot... and that was when I was kinda pushing for it the most.
"And after the throat thing and she stopped touring and all that she sort of... not isolated herself, but went back in a bit because she couldn't really communicate or be out as much because of cancelling shows and whatever. So I kinda just left it there."
But the rapper is still hopeful of teaming up with Adele, who won six Grammys and two Brit Awards last month (Feb12), in the future.
He adds, "She's having the time of her life and if at any stage in the future (a collaboration) happens, that'd be great, but for now, I can imagine she must (be) on cloud nine. It must be crazy for her."
