So here's a potentially odd change in direction for '30 Rock's' Tina Fey : a career in hip-hop. No, seriously! With the much-loved comedy starting to wind down, Fey will no doubt be thinking about future options, and has evidently decided that she might well be able to spit the odd rhyme or two professionally.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Fey has appeared on a mixtape by Donald Glover - recording name Childish Gambino. The mixtape features a host of guests including RZA, Ghostface Killah, Beck and Danny Brown. Fey reportedly appears at the end of final track 'Real Estate', rapping "Yeah, we in here, we in this thing/ Gambino is forever, royalty is forever... This is the part where most people would say something crazy and drop the n-word after it / Not going to. Not gonna do that. Don't feel comfortable!" Stirring stuff.
Glover is also on the cast of 'Community' - another NBC show that airs on Thursday nights - but he and Fey are linked more closely than that for Glover was previously a writer on '30 Rock'. It is the second album of his, following his debut LP 'Camp' which was released last year to largely positive acclaim. For Fey? Well who knows! She does have two films out in 2013 which are both in pre-production. But beyond? We could be looking at a new rap superstar.
