Fear not, those mourning the end of 30 Rock – which ended on television screens last night – the series will live on in frozen dessert-based form! That’s right, the world famous Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, which is famous for making unique flavors based on celebrity types, has named one of their flavors after one of the show’s characters Liz Lemon.
Lemon is played by Tina Fey, and she becomes the latest comedian to have her name honored in frozen food form by B&J’s, after Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream, Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Snack and Monty Python’s Vermonty Python. Anyway, forget all that, the real question is what’s gone into this Liz Lemon? Well, from Fox’s report it sounds pretty delicious, the character’s ice cream reportedly being a Greek frozen yoghurt with a blueberry lavender swirl. Amazing.
Fey isn’t the first 30 Rock star who’s seen her character immortalized in sub-zero temperatures. Alec Baldwin was lucky enough to have a flavor named after him by the ice cream giants, although he didn’t exactly set the benchmark for success. The general public were understandably put off by the title of his Jack Donaghy pint last year; it’s name? Schweddy Balls. Oh dear.
Butter wouldn't melt in Tina Fey's mouth, and it certainly won't in her new dessert either
