Tim McGraw has entered into negotiations to play a CIA agent with a secret in 'Safe House' alongside Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington.
Tim Mcgraw is in talks to join the cast of 'Safe House'.
'Safe House' tells the tale of a lone CIA agent (Reynolds) who survives an attack on a secret base by a group of villains and who must try to get a lethal prisoner (Washington) to another safe house.
McGraw would join the film as a CIA agent who must mentor Reynolds, although he has a secret agenda, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
David Guggenheim - a former US Weekly editor - has written The Script for the project.
The movie is expected for release in 2012.
McGraw can currently be seen in 'Country Song' alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and has starred in a number of films alongside his music career including 2007's 'The Kingdom' and 'Four Christmases' in 2008.
