Tim Burton is to be honoured at the Venice International Film Festival later this year (07), for his contributions to the movie industry. The Batman director will receive the lifetime achievement award at the Italian festival which begins on 29 August (07), according to the Hollywood Reporter. Organisers also declared yesterday (21MAR07) that 5 September (07) will be 'Tim Burton Day' - a full 24 hours dedicated to the 48-year-old, whose credits include Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
