Tiger Woods joked with Jimmy Fallon about his 'infidelity scandal' during an appearance on the host's late night talk show yesterday (16th March 2011).
Tiger Woods, the American golfer who divorced from his wife Elin Nordegren last year, made an appearance on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' yesterday, reports CBS News.It was Woods' first 'late night' appearance since 2009 and Fallon immediately brought up the golfer's heavily publicised scandal, jokingly saying, "What have you been up to?" The golfer laughed and answered, "Playing bad golf". The talk show host then heaped praise on the 35-year-old for providing his writing team with plenty of material for jokes, saying, "It must have been a painful and awful situation, the whole thing you went through. But from a comedian's standpoint and my monologue writers, thank you! So much! It kind of wrote itself. I mean, balls, shafts, holes, foursomes. It really writes itself. Thank you!" The golfer laughed nervously but took the jibe in good spirits, saying, "You got it".
Despite his recent poor run of form, Tiger Woods has confirmed that they will play in the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida next week as he looks to prepare for the US Masters in April. Talk show host Fallon ended the interview on a serious note, wishing the golfer good luck for future and adding, "I know you have the Masters coming up and I'm rooting for you, buddy. I want you to come back".
