LATEST: Superstar Michael Jackson and his ex-wife Debbie Rowe have been ordered to hand over missing documents from their 1999 divorce file. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ROBERT SCHINDER demanded Rowe's lawyer MARTA ALMLI submit duplicate copies of the former nurse's 2001 motion to terminate her parental rights to the couple's two children PRINCE MICHAEL I and PARIS MICHAEL. The THRILLER hitmaker's attorneys MICHAEL ABRAMS and Thomas Hall have also been asked to hand over a copy of the singer's opposition to the motion. Jackson and Rowe married in November 1996, but divorced in October 1999, a year after Rowe gave birth to their daughter Paris. A private judge oversaw their divorce and two years later (01), a trial judge issued an order terminating Rowe's parental rights. Rowe is seeking to regain custody of the children following Jackson's high-profile child molestation trial last year (05) and his alleged association with the Nation Of Islam. Jewish Rowe has reportedly expressed concern of her children mixing with the Nation Of Islam, because she believes they do not like Jewish people. The couple have been given 30 days to submit the documents. A hearing has been scheduled for 24 May (06).
Michael Jackson's lawyer THOMAS MESEREAU JNR will no longer represent the troubled singer after he withdrew his name from two impending lawsuits.
The white-haired attorney and his partner SUSAN YU successfully defended Jackson in his 2005 child molestation trial after they were brought in to replace the case's original lawyer MARK GERAGOS in April 2004.
In two separate lawsuits filed against the THRILLER hitmaker by his former aides Dieter Wiesner and Marc Schaffel, Mesereau Jnr and Yu have formally removed themselves as the star's legal representation, reports the New York Post newspaper.
