The rapper unveiled the album title on Twitter, but won't yet give a date.
Kanye West has finally announced the title of his forthcoming album, alongside a cryptic symbol that could be an album cover. 'So Help Me God' will be released later this year and features at least two tracks with former Beatle Paul McCartney.
Kanye West unveils new album title
So if we escape the not altogether uncharacteristic bizarre behaviour that Kanye West has been exhibiting this past month, the rapper is now unveiling a new album to follow up his 2013 number one 'Yeezus'. While he refuses to give any specific release date, 'So Help Me God' is being developed by a team of top producers including Rick Rubin, Q-Tip, French Montana as well as Paul McCartney, with whom he has been working a great deal; the new album features two new tracks with the rock veteran entitled 'Only One' and 'Piss on Your Grave'

After the anti-Beck fiasco at the Grammys (which, to his credit, he did apologise for), West hit Europe in promotion of his forthcoming album, performing another new song 'All Day' (featuring Theophilus London and Allan Kingdom) at the 2015 Brit Awards and 'Only One' on 'The Jonathan Ross Show'. However, it seems his eccentric conduct is far from over. After his Jonathan Ross performance, he proceeded to lie on the floor rather than chat to the host, with Ross trying to stem the awkwardness with a joke about spooning. Though he did, at least, look cheerful enough to be there. That's not to mention the emotional interview he gave on BBC Radio 1 with Zane Lowe. Sure, crying in public is no crime, but it's also so very unexpected from someone who normally grabs headlines with his determined ferocity.

But whatever unusual antics West throws at us next, we can at least predict an impressive new album if McCartney's input is anything to go by. According to an interview West gave to the radio station Power 105, the album is '80 percent done' and its eventual arrival will remain a 'surprise'. As for what we can expect, West admitted: 'My last album was a protest of music... But this album is just embracing the music, embracing joy and just being a service to the people.'

After revealing the album title on Twitter, West accompanied it with a strange symbol featuring three letter 'm's linked together by lines in a diamond shape; which is apparently a 13th century symbol relating to the Virgin Mary. Go figure.
