The Who rocker Pete Townshend grew up with a "sexually abusive loon" grandmother, who frequently went naked under her coat and tried to molest bus conductors. Townshend was often left with the decrepit eccentric, who lived on the Kent coast of south east England, when his singer mother and saxophonist father went on tour. He says, "My early years were a mixture of unbelievable glamour and unbelievable shock at being dumped with my grandmother. "She turned out to be clinically insane and very abusive, and sexually abusive, or possibly something going on around her that was sexually abusive - this loon grandmother who walked around naked under her fur coat and tried to shag bus conductors."
