Fans of rockers The Who are set for a good 2005 - the group have announced
tentative plans to release a new studio album in the spring.
In a posting on his website, guitarist Pete Townshend teases fans by
telling them the group's first studio release of new material since 1982 may be
He writes, "ROGER (DALTREY) and I will meet in mid-December (04) to play
what we have written. If we move ahead from there, we may have a CD ready to
release in the spring.
"If the recording works out, we will tour with the usual band in the first
half of 2005."
Meanwhile, busy Townshend is at work on a variety of other projects,
including an animated movie and his autobiography, which will include details
of his 2003 arrest on child pornography charges.
