Rockers The Who have reached out to reigning Tour De France champion and British Olympian Bradley Wiggins to offer him free tickets to their upcoming U.K. tour.

The cyclist is a huge fan of the band and has previously admitted he listens to their tracks while training on his bike, but he has yet to meet his heroes.

Now the musicians have written to Wiggins and invited him backstage when they bring their Quadrophenia trek from the U.S. to Britain later this year (13).

Singer Roger Daltrey says, "He is invited to any of our shows. I've written and told him that. I'm sure we will meet him - he has a free pass to any show he likes. What an athlete and what a gentleman."

The Who are currently playing their iconic 1973 album Quadrophenia in full at shows across North America, and they will transfer the concerts to the U.K. in June (13).
