The Wanted might be done for the time being, but one of the members are coming back in a big way. Singer/songwriter and former member of the UK boyband, Nathan Sykes, just dropped his debut solo track titled, ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know.’
Nathan Sykes' debut solo track is the jazzy 'More Than You'll Ever Know'
‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’ is available through Sykes’ Facebook page, and the song itself is definitely not what you’d expect given his previous track record. Soulful and jazzy, Sykes’ vocals clearly haven’t lost its edge over the past year or so since The Wanted’s end. In fact, it might just be the best thing we’ve heard from the 21-year-old yet.

One Direction isn't ending anytime soon, but here's why Harry Styles is destined to get even bigger after the boyband is over.
All good things must come to an end someday, which means that One Direction is eventually breaking up. Sorry, I know, it’s a sore subject for me, too. They’ve consistently put out great pop albums year after year, so it’s not like they should break up, but being in a boy band with a bunch of other guys sharing your spotlight puts a damper on your own personal success, too. Why stick around and split the profits when you can be a bigger star all on your own?! For some pop acts like Emblem3, it doesn’t make a difference who leaves, because nobody is really going to care about whatever solo thing they do. But groups like The Wanted? Nathan Sykes is bound to get big with anything he does now that The Wanted is done.
With One Direction, all five of those guys are going to do big things too, but nobody will reach a star status as big as Harry Styles will, because let’s face it: Harry Styles is the lead of One Direction. Every pop group has one, whether people want to believe it or not. Nathan was the lead of The Wanted, James Bourne was the lead of Busted, and Normani Hamilton is totally the lead of Fifth Harmony. It’s not insulting the other members, but the leads just have something that their bandmates don’t. For Styles, he’s clearly the most popular, and arguably even has the best pipes.

Fellow band mate Max George, who is the proud owner of no hair, didn't want his friends curly locks go to waste and came up with the strange idea to give them to a fan.

All five members of the band performed at the Summertime Ball.
Nathan Sykes made his triumphant return to The Wanted this weekend, during the band’s performance at the Summertime Ball. Sykes had been off on a mandatory hiatus, after suffering a hemorrhaging nodule, but he seemed pumped for his first performance with them after the break. Naturally, he gave the obligatory gratitude to fans over Twitter after the show: 'Thanks for all the love today. Really put a smile on my face …'
The rest of the band also made a big event out of Nathan’s return and posted a celebratory tweet: 'He's back!!!!!!!!! #WelcomeBackNath.' The performance went off without a hitch, but Sykes’ return was in question up until the very last days, the Daily Mail reports. Before the concert, the singer commented that he would be “gutted” if he didn’t get to perform. About The Wanted’s upcoming Summertime Ball appearance, he said: 'I'd love to be there, we've been lucky enough to perform at every Summer Time Ball so far so I'd be gutted to miss it but I've got to take each day as it comes.”
He also talked about the slow recovery process: “I've had good days and bad days, days when I've tried singing and its been back to what it was and then had days when its been like I'm going backwards again but I'm having speech therapy and vocal coaching to try and get the strength back.”

Taylor Swift and The Wanted were undoubtedly the biggest names to take home People's Choice Awards last night at the 39th annual version of the event. Taking place in Los Angeles, the ceremony was also notable for other guests including Paris Hilton, Julianne Hough, Naomi Watts and Lea Michele. The entirely fan-voted for awards saw Taylor Swift take home the Favorite Country Artist gong, though she once again found herself in a 'Kanye' situation as Olivia Munn initially refused to give her the statuette. It was all for play though, with Swift laughing "Oh God... this always happens!"
