Take Me Higher
Swoonsome, glacial, chiming beauty from Sweden's answer to the Stone Roses.
Take Me Higher is a quite perfect exercise in Teutonic pop, the musical equivalent of all the half remembered summer mornings of your halcyon childhood years - feel the endorphins rising, as the sun then did. It's a damn shame however that these brave new Scandinavian conquerors have decided on probably the most uninspiring nomenclature in all of rock 'n' roll history. But let that should not deter you, for this is as sweet and psychedelic a number as will be heard this year. And as it is already garnering heavy rotation on alternative radio, it may well be the first step on the road towards a real glory.
Unisex - a party to which everyone is invited.
