With debut album 'Snapshot' just around the corner, nothing is slowing down for The Strypes. Following the success of previous singles Blue Collar Jane and more recently Hometown Girls, the band are now set to release the third single from the forthcoming album with 'What A Shame', another short and sharp burst of power and exuberance, packed into under three minutes.
This year The Strypes have been surrounded by a whirlwind of excitement. The music they have released so far has been met with high praise from fans and critics alike and the fan base continues to grow ever wider. "What A Shame', which is taken from the upcoming album 'Snapshot' promises more of the same raucous energy that characterise both 'Blue Collar Jane' and 'Hometown Girls'.
Of course, they have also continued to tour extensively, spreading their reputation as one of the more thrilling live bands around ever further. This years festival scene has welcomed The Strypes with open arms and seen them play a packed out set on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury and a more recent stand out show at The Secret Garden Party. The Strypes will extend their reach even further this winter when they embark on a stadium tour of the UK and Europe with the Arctic Monkeys.
'Snapshot' will be released on September 9th via Virgin EMI, the band support Blur tonight at Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin.
