The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas was so inebriated during a recent
gig, he caused his guitarist to storm off in a rage.
According to the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS website, Casablancas was already
drunk when he took to the stage at Manhattan's BOWERY BALLROOM, and promptly
indulged in more alcohol - drinking during the set.
After stumbling off the stage, the singer rested in the arms of the crowd
before security dragged him out.
Casablancas subsequently swigged from an assortment of drinks at drummer
Fabrizio Moretti's feet, and halfway through the set, he started singing the
wrong song - causing disgruntled guitarist Nick Valensi to march offstage.
However, Valensi returned and a chastened Casablancas got it sufficiently
together to finish the set.
