Former The Smiths frontman Morrissey is preparing to write his memoirs - because he sick of the false stories which have blighted his career.
The British rocker is notoriously protective of his privacy, and has refused to answer integral questions about his personal life in past interviews - especially about his sexuality.
But now the singer is ready to release a true documentation of his life story, and hopes the forthcoming tome will dismiss any previous speculations fans may have.
He tells BBC Radio 2, "So much c**p is written about me, it's hard to live with sometimes. It all gets burned down in history and becomes a part of your legacy."
Morrissey has not revealed a release date for the autobiography.
