The Saturdays star Mollie King has signed up to front a campaign for a U.K. heart charity.

The pop star is supporting the British Heart Foundation's National Heart Month, which takes place in February (13), in honour of her grandfather, who died after suffering a heart attack.

King is calling on her fans to back the charity's Rock Up In Red campaign, which involves Brits donating $3.20 (£2) to wear a red item of clothing to raise awareness of the cause on 1 February (13).

She says, "I'm thrilled to be supporting the British Heart Foundation this February by Rocking Up In Red and joining the fight against heart disease. It's a cause very close to my heart, as my grandfather sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack when I was younger."
