Bristol band The Ramona Flowers are set to release their new single 'Dismantle and Rebuild' on November 4th 2012 through Distiller records ahead of the release of their debut EP 'Dismantle' due out soon after on November 5th.
The accompanying video is a montage of contrasting clips of large buildings, city views, motorways, trains, wheatfields, trees, surburban streets and secluded country spaces. It's a poignant image, much like the slow ballad that is the track. In spite of the electronic down tempo, the vocals are strong and passionate, building up to a heavier climax throughout with an incredibly infectious chorus.
Elsewhere on their EP, incidentally produced by Andy Barlow of Lamb with whom they recently toured, are two remixes by D/R/U/G/S and Amirali as well as further track 'Modern World'. They have received much backing since their discovery, with BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens giving them enthusiastic airplay and The Line of Best Fit dubbing the EP 'captivating' and 'anthemic'. The Ramona Flowers cite influences from a range of artists including Baths, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Bloc Party and, having already toured against electronic duo Lamb, they are now set to play at the Louisiana in Bristol on October 21st 2012.
