Well-loved puppets The Muppets will help young children come to terms with their feelings concerning terror attacks on contemporary society.

The nonprofit group behind hit children's show Sesame Street announced yesterday (25JUN03) that it will distribute 75,000 copies of a video this summer titled YOU CAN ASK!, which urges youngsters to turn to their parents when feelings generated by repeated showings of horrific terror attacks confuse them.

GARY KNELL, president and chief executive of SESAME WORKSHOP, explains, "Too often, children in America are witnessing too much, too soon."

During a press conference yesterday, Sesame Street actor EMILIO DELGADO explained to a teal-coloured Muppet named ROSITA that "children can ask their parents questions when they're scared, when they're very confused and worried".
