Cult duo The Knife have announced plans to split once their European tour commitments are complete.

The Swedish siblings will call it quits after performing two U.K. shows in November (14).

Band member Karin Dreijer Andersson, who formed the group with her brother Olof in 1999, tells, "When we finish the tour now in November, we will close down, it's our last tour. We don't have any obligations to continue, it should only and always be for fun."

The Knife released their first album in 2001 and the duo's last record, Shaking the Habitual, came out last year (13).
