Rockers The Killers have dismissed split rumours by announcing they will be performing at the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam next month (Nov13).

Reports of the band's demise started swirling around the media last week (ends11Oct13) following bassist Mark Stoermer's decision to sit out the group's Asian tour and the news his bandmates had pulled out of their slot at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit in California.

Guitarist Dave Keuning also made it clear that he is sick of touring, telling the NME, "I'm done. The end is in sight. Some people might go, 'Why are you complaining?' But you haven't done what I have done, so you can't relate. We just toured a s**tload."

But it appears talk of the end of the band is a little premature - they've agreed to perform alongside Katy Perry at the EMAs.

The rockers are up for two awards at the ceremony, but Justin Timberlake and MACklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations with five apiece. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are each up for four awards.
