Las Vegas band The Killers are set to release a new record this year as well as another Christmas single.
Singer Brandon Flowers has revealed that after a year of touring second album Sam's Town, the band have still found time to put together a compilation B-side release.
He told NME.com: "There are some good songs that we've released and so it will be good to have them out there for people.
"We've just got a lot of good songs, so we're just slowly going to grind everyone down until they admit we can do pop better than anyone else."
He added: "I think we're going to do some new songs on there."
As well as the new material and B-sides, it seems likely that a number of remixes of the band's singles will also be featured, laying out the prospect for quite a weighty release.
The Las Vegas four-piece have also recorded another Christmas single for this year, following on from their 2006 effort A Great Big Sled.
"It's called Don't Shoot Me Santa," Flowers told the magazine. "I really liked doing one last year, so we've done another. Maybe we could do one every year and in ten year's time we'll have an album of them."
The Killers recently headlined V Festival and have now concluded the main touring commitments for Sam's Town.
