The Killers have snubbed a headline slot at Britain's upcoming Glastonbury FESTIVAL - as they insist they are not worthy of the accolade.

The SOMEBODY TOLD ME rockers were tipped to replace pop beauty KYLIE MINOGUE after she pulled out in the wake of her breast cancer diagnosis.

But the Las Vegas foursome don't feel ready to play the prestigious final Sunday (26JUN05) slot on the main stage, and are staying with their original Friday (24JUN05) gig.

Drummer RONNIE VANNUCCI says, "We were offered the headlining slot but we didn't take it because we're basically a band that's been around for, as far as the UK's concerned, a little over a year.

"So we didn't think we were deserving of a headlining slot, we're just happy to be playing in a good spot at Glastonbury anyway."
