The Killers lead singer Brandon Flowers may be sexy and confident on stage now, but he wasn't always such a babe magnet.
The rocker had a string of insecurities as a teenager, when he harboured dreams of becoming a world-class golf player.
He says, "I went through a low self-esteem phase from 10 to 18. I was quite a porker - I never went swimming because I didn't want anyone to see my body.
"I always assumed people were looking at me, and if I heard someone laughing while I was in a restaurant, it would kill me."
